Hi Everyone,
My name’s Josh, I’m a lifelong Broncos supporter who has been coming on here for the best part of 10 years but have rarely posted.
Without wanting to be that guy who turns the forum in to gumtree, I thought this might be a way to help out a fellow Bronco fan who is keen to have an awesome long weekend, go to the grand final, make some new friends and just have an all-round great time.
As a member, I quickly purchased 4 silver section tickets on Monday during the presale and thought I’d worry about particulars later on.
Absolutely horrified by the prices for flights, I decided to turn this in to a weekend long road trip. So far we have 3 blokes going down aged 25, 27 and 32. We are leaving on the Friday night at about midnight (couple of shift workers with irregular sleep patterns will be driving so the others can sleep in the back) with the goal of getting in to Sydney around 11am.
Thinking of heading straight to Royal Randwick for the Epsom (entry included in GF ticket) where we can have a beer, a punt and maybe watch the AFL Grand Final, given our suited up attire, we’ll then maybe head to the Casino (or anywhere really, no plans set in stone). Sunday morning we wanted to be up at 6am to go somewhere and watch the Wallabies v England before hang about Sydney and then heading in to Homebush.
Our accommodation is booked in Glebe (4 bed doom), We aren’t trying to profit from this and as such we’d just want you to contribute an even share of the costs which will be between $230-$250pp (pending fuel prices) which you can fix me up for in cash on the day.
So if there is anyone on here that is interested in going to the GF but doesn’t have anyone to go with or was worried about the cost of accommodation/transport, I’d love to extend an invite. We are leaving from Brisbane and can pick you up from any reasonable town along the way.
We are good, genuine blokes and would love to make a new friend who supports the Broncos as much as we do. If you’re keen to come but not interested in the races/wallabies/hanging out with randoms, that’s fine too, you can just come for the trip and the game and do your own thing once in Sydney.
If interested, pm your details and I’ll get in touch.
I hope I don’t get blasted for posting this on here but I want to see as many Bronco fans out in force down in Sydney on the weekend and I hope this can get one more.
Cheers
