Interesting thought, post Roosters spoonish year, they bought in some key players and bounced back up with their promising youth having some experience to learn off, notice the similarities:

Half: Keary / Reynolds
Second-Row: SBW / Capewell
Prop: Moa / James
Centre: Jennings / Staggs

I note Staggs and not Lee because don't forget, Staggs barely got on the field this year, he'll be like a new recruit next year.

I don't think we are that far away from being in top 4 contention IF everything goes right and I am not saying we should be considered top 4 favourites, just that we COULD go higher than some think.

Isaako had a better second half and helped create the Magpie's only try today, still a long way off though.

Thought the way he attacked in the second half from what I saw was good but he definitely needed to step up and get his hands on the ball more

It’s crazy to me that in his biggest issue in the NRL he was so rocks and diamonds. He would make endless blunders making him unpickable but he do things in attack that few players could. It’s strange that he’s mostly invisible in Q Cup. You’d assume he would be tearing teams to shreds while making dumb errors.

It’s weird that he is seemingly being held quiet by Q Cup defence

Yeah thought he would be killing it in cup but kind of seems to be very quiet from very little I've seen.
I thought he had some alright touches when he did get involved today but that was only a couple of times but being able to do things he can do youd think he would be having more of a impact.
When he was on in Nrl he was great but had a fair bit of dumb errors which outshone the good, you'd think it would be the opposite in cup that he'd be providing so much good the errors wouldn't matter.

If that’s the watermark for a dickhead Alfie must be getting nervous
The indicator that he is a "dickhead" is the fact he is pissed off at Nathan Brown from all reports. If anyone shouldn't be pissed at him and should be back Nathan Brown it should be Walsh. He could be the worst coach in history but Brown still have the tiny pretty boy a massive contract and a spine position over the multiple dally m winning RTS despite him playing ZERO senior footy at all. He's the last person OK EARTH Who should be turning against Brown.

It's also the way he acts on the field despite being a rookie (milks penalties, only ever turns up for the "big play", pushes more experienced players out of the way, yells at players for making mistakes). He's a fucking rookie!!!!

To top it all off, he wanted a release and INSTANT gratification with this contract. He couldn't possibly wait 3 months haha. Well, he is going to be paying the price the rest of his career. His actions show he doesn't have the patience or humility to learn, grow and adapt to have a great career.

Unpopular opinion but...we would finish lower on the ladder in 2022 if we had Walker or Walsh (not factoring injuries). Sick of hearing about how we lost both of these overrated 'superstars'.
