POST GAME Round 11 - Broncos vs Tigers

Very good win. Could have had a much bigger scoreline but Macca being carted off killed our momentum before we could strike

Great win. Really hope macca was just a concussion and nothing more. Game went a bit flat after he went off.

Side note: I thought the commentating on fox was terrific tonight. Just called the plays and didn't carry on. Great work fox.

Most complete performance this season.

We played to the conditions, and not to the level of our opposition. Majority of our points off the back of good, simple structure. Didn't get too cute and shift the ball early without winning the battle in the middle. Desire and intent in defence.

Aside from one really bung kick from Milf, both halves played their sides of their field well, and looked great when they combined. As dependable as Macca is, a part of me would love to see those two and Hunt (at 9) combining.

A bigger win would have been great, but a key injury, and Darius + Gillett given an early mark, on a wet track, resulting in a 36-0 scoreline? I'll take that, no matter the opposition.

Channel 9 showed replay of Roberts break; that's him running on a wet Suncorp and not fully at 100%. He could have easily blitzed everyone at his best. Hopefully NSW won't pick him.

You can never be upset when you hold your opposition to 0.

The last quarter or so was an absolute wash but the game was well sown up before then. The Tigers just couldn't handle any variation of the second man play. The Broncos threatened but when Kahu read and took that pass from the Tigers it was game over.

Moga continues to impress me. His best asset is that he rarely lets a mistake affect him, even when he's having a shocker, he'll just clean you up on the next tackle. That's what you want out of your Rugby League players and he's doing an admirable job.

The game also marked the fifth consecutive win for Kodi Nikorima. I remember watching him in 20s and wondering what sort of career he was going to have. It's never been a question of talent, some of the things he could do on the football field you couldn't coach but by the same token you wouldn't want to coach. The way he's continued to work on his game is admirable and if he continues he could be a very handy asset, not only for the Brisbane Broncos, but for his country.

At the start of the year, I said the best case scenario for Brisbane would be 8-3 and they've managed to match that. From here, it's anybody's guess but they're beginning to play with some freedom and the belief that they can win from any position. That confidence eluded them last season, we'll see what difference it makes in the weeks ahead.

I was more impressed with our defensive effort then our attack, points have always been there for us since the Roosters game but there had been a real leakage of points since that game that needed addressing. I know the Tigers were poor and not much of a threat tonight but we could have easily conceded some soft points in the second half with the game in the bag like some of the previous efforts of recent games.

I'm going to do something that might surprise people and it's extremely hard thing for me to do because of my respect for a bloke who I feel doesn't deserve half of the crap he cops. I'm stubborn at times but I'm falling on my sword, I had my doubts but taking tonight's and previous efforts last week. Kodi for Halfback.

wow sterlo doing his best to talk down roberts. saying speed isnt only factor needed for origin, nsw cant possibly be that stupid. as much as it will hurt us as a club roberts deserves to be centre for nsw this year. hardly makes a error or miss tackle and will be the x factor in attack they will need

Oh well he'll just have to keep tearing it up for the broncos. Fark the blues.

Good. I hope the rest of the NSW media do too. We have to suffer enough during origin, it would be even worse if that was to the benefit of the NSWankers.

So many coaches are convinced that you can only pick left side players on the left and right side players on the right, and it sounds like Sterling and Daley are like that too. So chances are Roberts won't be selected, as Dugan and Ferguson seem to be lock ins everywhere.

As for this game, I was really impressed with Kodi. He's getting better and better, isn't he? Ofahengaue and Glenn were surprisingly great too.

In what planet is NSW not stupid?? Certainly not ours!
