8 days is a long time in football...

Gawd I hope that is true.

Need either Murphy or Scarlett on the bench I think, we can't handle 80 more minutes of Milford & Nikorima playing like that, if they do, hook whichever is playing worse for someone who may put in some effort. We also need someone at left centre who can tackle and hopefully mask the major weakness that is Milford.

Apart from that I'm willing to give them another week or two. Once Bird is healthy, all bets are off, this squad has 2-3 weeks to prove that they deserve to be playing first grade.

no way in the world Kahu gets dropped ... at worst he is a classy winger.

he should have never been thrown into center in the first place after spending the entire pre-season on the wing

I don't think he's in the top 2 wingers at the club or the top 4 centres at the club right now (Once Bird is healthy), Oates & Isaako is the only wing combination we have that can provide us with the punch out of our own end that we desperately need with the lack of go forward in out front line atm.

I think Oates deserves his shot at second row next week.

This type of game we usually lift for regardless of how we played the previous week.

At home, we'll be much better than what we were tonight.

It will be a close one.

We need to settle on a team and let it develop some combinations, ffs. Chopping and changing was partially responsible for tonight’s debacle.

How we can be in the situation where we have no credible back up half OR hooker is just ludicrous.

Nikorima IS the back up half at this club...

I was actually spewing I was going to miss this game as I’m off the grid on Fraser next week...
Now I’m no far enough away

I like that team. Kahu has been solid for us on the wing, and Isaako doesn't deserve to be dropped yet. TPJ looked good starting, but having him on the bench can keep that momentum going when Lodge comes off. Thaiday doesn't really fit anywhere in the side for me, unless Oates is picked as the utility. Let Oates try out in the forwards, and if he messes up there, he can either play QLD cup, leave or decide he's a winger once and for all.

I’m not sure what the Storm’s plans are for life after Smith but if I had any sort of influence at the Broncos I’d be going for either Grant or Brandon Smith as our back up hooker

Brandon Smith is signed to the Storm to the end of 2022. They have big plans for him. e.g. replacing Cam Smith.

Half your luck! It’s not gonna get any prettier next week against the cowboys.

He averages high 70's at home...

hes shown he can score against anyone... tonight was a fucking shambles though...

I Ike this side but unfortunately Thaiday won't be dropped. Bennetts safe choices/faith in experienced players to take on new positions is by far his weakest component of coaching. He will take risks with juniors but he will often make switches when experienced players say they can fill that gap (eg Thaiday to hooker, kahu to centre, etc)
