a couple of interesting selections:

Peta Hiku starting at 5/8 ahead of Kodi Nikorima
Corey Norman to play centers - has he ever played there before
Granville to start at fullback

The Hiku and Norman selections surprised me as well. The other shock was Keighran being named in the centres presumably on the right hand side to partner Walker. That selection screams smokescreen and I suspect Manu will shift to centre with Moala-Graham making his debut.

Jot him and his twin brother, Lani, down as players to keep an eye on for 2022.

Granville wasn't so shocking considering he started there last week.

I'd say you're on the money there with Moala-Graham BP, it would make for an interesting debut lining up against Sivo but he's a talent.

Come to think of it, I think they'll stick with that combination just to nullify Sivo who is the Eels go to weapon down the edge.

It should be a good game. The last time both teams met Sydney defended extremely well but they just couldn't handle Mitchell Moses' kicking game.

I think they'll make a better fist of things this time around.

What's going on with that NZ team??

I missed the game, but Lodge and AFB out and that spine!!

Did they just get annihilated by injuries and suspensions last week or has Brown lost the plot and dropped half the team?

They have 9 players missing through injury and both RTS and Ah Mau headed back to New Zealand.

Lodge is out through suspension, Fonua-Blake suffered a compound fracture to one of his fingers.

you're right, Granville at fullback isn't shocking as such ... although i would have thought that they would move Drinkwater to the back and bring in Daejarn Asi at 5/8, who seems fairly highly rated (at least by Cowboys fans)

No prizes for guessing who Robinson & Brad Arthur will be zoom calling at halftime for urgent advice on how to handle these impossibly slippery conditions

Ferguson, Blake and Campbell-Gillard all ruled out.

Neither team handled the conditions well early. Both teams were guilty of simple errors and it was extremely sloppy early on. Parramatta had the early advantage but their attack was just too pedestrian and pre-meditated. On the other hand, while the Roosters attack wasn't smooth they understood where the ball needed to go. After Manu made his big break, Walker didn't hesitate and Morris did well to finish off the opportunity.

Then moments later Walker backed himself once again and got a good inside ball back to Tedesco who just summed it up.

I like how Robinson is using Walker. He's got a license to back his skills but he's got so much support around him in Hutchinson, Manu and Tedesco.

Is anyone even watching this? I’d rather watch the heats in the swimming or the 50th replay of an Aussie medal

I'm watching the swimming... was watching the game initially, but it was a mess and neither team could hold onto it
