The Sharks are a team with a lot of heart, hopefully we don't underestimate them.

I hope we lay 50 points on them. I don't want to get stick from my Shark supporting co-worker.

Just want the 2 points and to get back to basics.

Hook's done a great job with the defence. Now for some great tries. Someone criticised the team for a drop in intensity v the Storm. I think a few tries will sort that out.

I would go with almost the same team that took the field against the Storm. but IMHO, it is time to scrap the half/hooker off the bench and add another prop to the rotaion. there is plenty of versatility in the side with Glenn and Gillett there. and we look so much better with McCullough out there.

If we absolutely have to have a backup hooker on the bench, it needs to be Baptiste and not Hunt IMO.

YES! Needs MOAR Baptise and much less Hunt.

need less backup hooker and more Teo!

Glenn can slot in if he really needs a rest, But Macca should really be pushed to play as many minutes as possible and work on fitness. Without Locky next year we will need our 1,6,7,9 to play 80minutes each week and to get those combinations rolling.

I agree but it doesn't seem like an option that griffin is happy with

I don't mind Hunt on the Bench, but only to play very few minutes at hooker and to replace Lockyer late in games if we have the match wrapped up, or like against the Storm can't win.

Agree. the Hunt as backup hooker thing isn't working. Would rather use Glenn as a rest option for Macca, and if we HAVE to have Hunt on the bench use him to cover Lockyer if the game is over. But I'd rather he wasn't there at all to be honest. Play 80 minutes in Q Cup.

Agreed with Coxy.

I also feel like Gagai and Hala should come into consideration. Both players are capable of causing havoc and scoring points which is sorely lacking. I rate Beale...at fullback and centre. On the wing I just think he's a good dummy half runner. That's about it.

You have no clue about footy mate! :shady:

I wanted Macca booted only about a month ago, but he's certainly upped his game and only needs to become an 80 mins player to suddenly be amongst the best in the business (Smith is a class apart still though).
I agree that Glenn could perfectly fill the void during Macca's rest stints, move Thaiday into the front row and put Gillett in his position.

Gagai on the wing with Reed as his centre, unless his form keeps deteriorating, in which case I would slot Te'o in there.

On the bench, Te'o for impact, Carlaw, McGuire and Hala (yes, I went there, Carlaw in the 17 with a full strenght team)

Gagai was excellent in the under 20's on the weekend playing a part in 4 storm tries. He certainly deserves a recall..... Herp derp derp
