Brisbane Broncos 4

Thoughts?

McGuire was godly.
Vidot was great.
Copley, great attack, but 4 errors.

Hunt and Parker were terrible.

Sam Thaiday - 5 runs for 38m. Could play Lowrie instead of him and no one would notice the difference.

Well, Hunt has been awful since Griffin's sacking.. ETA on him asking for a release?

What can you say about that. I have no words.

Our season is over. Pack it up, send Hook to the centrelink queue and tell Parker, Hodges and Thaiday to pull their fucking heads in or retire. Disgraceful. Manly were shithouse mostly.

Our best back and best forward had shockers. Centre got injured. Copley looks good if he can hold onto the ball. Inb4 400 miserable it's the end of the world we fucking suck posts

pretty uninspiring and limp performance against a manly team that were a LONG way from their best.

hunt had a terrible game.

our 5th tackle was pathetic the entire game.

mcguire was probably our best.

not much else to say really. we get in attacking positions and then seem to have no idea what to do, still.

hoffman still cant pass to his left and its hilariously embarassing to watch.

i thought early on barba looked like he might be getting some confidence then he disappeared from the game for a while and when he got involved after that all he wanted to do was hand the ball off.

If Hunt wants to play for the coach and not the team then he's no better than Boyd. **** off with Griffin if you want to be glued to him and enjoy the reserve grade because Griffin is never coming back to first grade again.

how could hunt feel that strongly for griffin when griffin made him wait over 2 years to finally get a run at 7 when he was stuck behind literal nuffies.

Hook is a goose. Pulls Granville off after 2min right when we start to attack. The team completely deflated at that point.

Instead of buying fullbacks we should have been looking for forwards. Bennett will struggle next year unless he can find some big guys from the ISC.

we didn't play as bad as the whingers on BHQ will have you believe.

Parker had his worst game of the season.

Hunt has been poor 2 weeks in a row now. He needs to step it up.

Manly's defence frustrated us into doing stupid things all night.

we needed to play straighter and more up the middle.

we needed to stand deeper in attack. and have runners in motion.

our left hand defence slid too much and needed to move up on the Manly ball runners.

oh and that Penalty they gave Manly at the end for Parkers hit on Foran was compete BS.

Why would Hunt give a **** where he plays as long as he's earning an easy pay cheque. He was always bog average as a utility and even now, after a stellar early season, he thinks he's top shit.

well he stuck around because he wanted to play for the broncos.. why do you suddenly think that all he cares about is money?

The Broncos just seem to shoot themselves in the foot before they ever give themselves a chance.

You can't open a game of footy against the competition leaders by kicking out on the full. It's just too much of an uphill battle and we just have too many young players out there who love playing for this team but just try too hard to pull a rabbit out of the hat when really the play would be to work for a quick play the ball and try and catch the opposition on the back-foot.

Unfortunately it's difficult to play composed footy when you don't have a good kicking game and I thought outside of 3 or 4 kicks, everything was poor tonight.

Just feel like the longer this season goes, the more apparent it becomes that the Broncos are off the pace and unfortunately it's going to be another season where Broncos fans are going to be twiddling their thumbs come September.

On the brightside, was very impressed with McGuire who kept punching his way through the Sea Eagles defence. Vidot made up for his misgivings with a good performance on return and Copley was by far the most dangerous player the Broncos had.

Hannant & Hoffman did some nice things too.

Awful, just fucking awful. Makes me just want that "new season hope" feeling but I know that's 10 months and a summer away.

Hunt still has a fair way to go, until he is in that top echelon of half backs in the game. but he has had a good first full season in the role.

the main areas he need's to work on to become a world class halfback.

kicking game - just not good enough for a top half

closing out games - should come with experience, but needs to close out games better. especially when we're leading. in particular by kicking for the corners, or touch and strangle the opposition out of the game.

fading out of games - tends to fade in and out of games too much, needs to be the go-to man for the full 80 mins
