Couple of really good games coming up this weekend.

Broncos v Knights is very much a case of deja vu. Turn the clock back in 2013 and it was Newcastle who drove the final nail into the Broncos coffin. They're in a very similar position here and after scoring upsets against the Roosters, Warriors & Storm wouldn't be surprised to see them do the same here.

Parramatta v Manly is a nice throwback to the 80s and their classic rivalry back then. Manly will go in as favourites but Parra have plenty to prove and if they're up to it, I suspect we'll have a great game of footy on our hands.

Cowboys take on the form team of the competition in a game that could well and truly define their season. Win and they're in with a real shot of winning their maiden premiership, lose and it could very well be a case of so close yet so far. Hopefully it's as engaging as the last meeting.

Warriors will be boosted by the return of Konrad Hurrell as they take on the defending premiers in NZ. Roosters still without Jake Friend & SBW, they could very well be up against it as the Warriors try and firm their spot inside the Top 8.

Then on Monday Night, the plucky Penrith Panthers take on the ever professional Melbourne Storm outfit in a game that will have big finals ramifications. Don't know if Segs will be able to play in this game after his injury on Monday night and I just don't know if they'll be strong enough to handle Melbourne.

Quality footy doesn't strike your fancy? There's always the battle for everybody's least favourite kitchen utensil, the wooden spoon. I'm scratching my head over Ricky's selections and I hope you join me as I pledge all my support behind Cronulla.

Up up cronulla

Up up cronulla

The boys in the black white and blue
Up Up Cronulla
Name of the Sharks with you
Sharks Sharks forever
Go out and play without fear
Now's the time to see good football
Cause the Sharks are here

UP THE SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously speaking though If Cronulla managed to avoid the spoon that would be a miracle

I've got money on the Raiders.

**** THE SHARKS!

Putting money on Ricky.

Dear lord.

Milford isn't going to save you this time SF.

I have faith in Milf.

All will end well.

BP, you mentioned that game last year featuring Brisbane and Newcastle. It sure sticks in my mind as I saw it live and watched the replay a little later. I was outraged at the stupidity of Thaiday not to mention his laziness. It was probably the worst captaincy I have ever seen from a Bronco. Giving away penalties, getting sent off and being totally ineffective. We were in front at halftime despite Thaiday but with our season in front of us we were beaten quite easily in the end. It won't surprise me to see Newcastle end our year agin although I think we are a better team this year. That game last year went a long way to Thaiday being dumped and I remember telling my mate on the way out of Suncorp that Thaiday should never captain again...got my wish !

I thought the penalties and sin binning were tough myself but Thaiday should have known better, agreed.

Segeyaro says he will be playing this week. That's a boost for the Panthers, but I don't think it's enough.

They have been going well despite their injury toll, but going up against the class of Melbourne at this time of year and coming away with a win is an extremely difficult task. It's made even more difficult when you're understrength.

I can't see Storm losing this one.

Tigers v Bulldogs tonight.

Should be an easy win for the Bulldogs but will be fun to see how Moses, Brooks, Lodge & Siro play.

Tigers are tanking. They want the coach gone.

Thompson would be right up there as one of the most underrated.

Can't remember him having a shocking game this year and usually makes a good fist of a lot of opportunities either in attack or defence.

I'm not joking. This is deliberate. Intentionally giving away penalties and dropping off tackles. See Farah's effort on Lafai?
