What an important round.

Kicks off on Thursday night when the Rabbitohs host the Broncos. Mix of good and bad news for Souths, they welcome back Luke Keary & Issac Luke but lose Greg Inglis. Also like the inclusion of Chris Grevsmuhl off the bench - the Rabbits have missed his ability to punch through the defence on the fringes.

Brisbane 1-17 which is a little surprising as I thought Wayne would bring in Maranta & Reed right away. With that said, I'm glad Copley is being given one last opportunity to impress before the finals, and I'm glad Oates is getting another chance to impress. I thought he was one of the Broncos best against the Roosters and if they're going to challenge in September, they're going to need more magic from Corey.

Then on Friday night, it's sudden death for Manly. Win, and they keep their season alive for one more round, lose and their season is all but finally over. It's been a dreadful year for Manly, and while I think they've done well since they've re-signed DCE it was always going to be a tough challenge for them. I think with Matt Ballin out, they'll really struggle, even if it's against a battered Roosters outfit missing Pearce, JWH & Jennings. I think they'll win their 11th game of the season, only to drop next week against South Sydney. That's just my feeling right now.

Mixed feelings about this one.

On the one hand, I hate Roosters and it would be great if Broncos could take 1st spot.. Especially when you take a look at the track record for 1st, 12 from the past 17 GF's have featured the 1st placed side.

But on the other hand, I fucking hate Manly and I would love to rip into my uncle who is a massive Manly supporter.
