Exactly. Consider McC our "passenger" player. He tackles like a freak, but that's all he does. He certainly isn't a semi-playmaker like Smith, and while he has a decent kicking game, he almost never uses it. He just tackles, that's what he's there for. He does it well, so let him do it.

Thus his profile within the team stays small, and so does his cap space.

your off ya head. more chance of winning powerball than macca being moved to lock full time. yes like you and everyone else we seen macca play a bit in the middle while kodi was on but thats no indication of a permanent move to 13. its absolute nonsense and rumour mongering to even concoct a half baked story like it and you know it!!

This is hardly a revelation he's done it a bit over the last 12 months. Mal did it too with Berrigan, Hunt and Cronk in Origin to get them on the field and played a loose forward role which is all McCullough is doing. He's a strong defender so you can use his defence in the middle third and rest a forward while getting a more dynamic runner a run.

Don't over think things- or maybe don't think at all.

If Bennett wanted to replace Macca at hooker, he would have kept Parcell. I really wish we did as that kid is the next Qld hooker. Kikorima is a half/utility, not really looking like becoming a full-time hooker anytime soon. He could become Isaac Lukeesque in time but that time is not by next season.

Cannot see a win due to the disruption in the team and Hunts abysmal form. I want them to win, and I haven't lost faith but I will not tip them against a team which is in fair form and largely up disturbed. Like most good teams, they too will be better for the run.

I can see a win. Having watched the Panthers replay, I didn't think Hunt was that bad, and his kicking game was for most of the game pretty good. He is not at his best, no, but he wasn't abysmal. I also liked how he and Milford played the same side a number of times to good effect. What cruelled us though was the sloppy defence which allowed Penrith to offload so much, almost at will, and in doing so, fragmented our generally excellent defensive structure, which is why offloads are so dangerous. Our organisation and discipline also fell away in the 2nd half.

Restore the strong tackling to cut out offloads, continue to work the right side in attack and restore the focus and discipline of last year and I see a win.

I cannot see a win however if we let the Cows offload as we did the Panthers, and if we play with 16 instead of 17.

Even without Oates, I can't see a reason that the Broncos at their best can't win this.
