Hopefully Gagai comes in for Yow Yeh and not Copley.

I'm not too confident about this. We've been starting poorly all season, and the Dragons are better than the rest of the sides we've played.

Pretty happy with our 3-1 start to the season. We should beat the Dragons if we turn up to play.

That's the token post about us maybe struggling. Stuff the Dragons, if we play well we will annihilate them.

It's a 50-50 game. Both teams are very strong in the forwards and the Saints are a bit more settled in the halves. Dan Hunt is back for the Dragons now and Cooper will likely return along with Scott. Wallace's continuation of his good form and some more dynamic play from our hookers will be key to winning this game, along with our forwards winning up front. We definitely wont annihilate them, and whilst a win would be great, after tonight's performance, win, lose or draw, I think our season is definitely heading in the right direction (despite the absence of Jharal).

Gillett to start at lock, Te'o to the bench. Given the outstanding defence, and that Wallace is beginning to control the play so much better, so that the attacking options are increasing, I really can't see the Dragons posing much threat at all.

Gagai travelling as 18th man to Perth will surely mean he is next in line for a spot on the wing.

You'd think so, but stranger things have happened.

I just don't want to see Copley on the wing ever again, he's not a winger!

Is Gagai though? Great in open spaces from fullback but I remember feeling pretty nervous at times when he was on the wing last season. Hopefully his few games in the centres for Redcliffe has served him well but he'll be targeted. The other interesting part is whether he'll play outside of Reed or Hodges.

Ah, good point. Can't say I've seen enough of Gagai to know either way.

Based on absolutely nothing at all, I reckon Gagai will be on the left, with Beale on the right, outside of Hodges.

Well I suppose Beale is the preferred winger of the 2, and immediately moving him to the right might imply that it is his preferred side. I could also be reading into that a little too much.

Then of course there is the look at next year. Beale will obviously be gone, Yow Yeh is the right winger, so why not give Gagai all the time him can on the left wing and get his combination with Reed as good as possible? Hopefully he is up to it. Big loss losing an international rep player so early in the season.

who said copley, gagai is 18th man his def in. poor yow yeh, my heart burns

Can't wait for my first live game of the year

St George can't play, St George can't play

Bloody oath! As soon as he came on the whole side sparked. Sure he needs to work on his defence - which is Hook's job, but geez his attack has sprung to life.

Also, It's also time Gillett was in the starting 13. Enough stuffing around. Playing him from the bench is like playing Inglis or Slater off the bench. Bloody stupid.

It's also time to get a repertoire of set plays happening involving Gillett, Macca/Hunt, Wallace and Norman. For me it's such a mouth watering prospect to see Gillett breaking quickly from the scrum in a worked move with Wallace/Norman, and Hodges/Reed in support. Or a short pass to Gillett running an angle close to the line.

Do people really think the work Slater/Cronk/Smith do is all off the cuff ad hoc?

We have a genuine superstar in Gillett (and Hoffa). Time for Hook to put them to good use.

And once again, if this side keeps that fantastic defence going in the middle & edges, then I can only see us losing to teams who have an extra 5 players - like Souths did in the first half, or we get cruelled with more injuries.

Need to watch out for Morris and Soward. They played outstandingly tonight. Easily got the better of their Manly counterparts and would be fired up to take on the best defensive team in the league.
