I appreciate your enthusiasm.

The way I see it, there's six good teams in 2020. Sydney, Melbourne, Parramatta, Canberra, Manly and Newcastle in about that order. Then I would have Penrith just below them - they've got some good players but they aren't as well drilled as the other six. They've made a decent start though, so I think they'll find their way into the 8.

Then you've got nine teams making up the numbers. Of those nine, I'd say Souths are the only team that's capable of really causing a stir and that will hinge on their experienced senior players stepping up. If they can get more out of guys like Latrell, Gagai and Roberts they might be able to knock a few of those top six over and beat the rest all those eight other sides.

That's my early feel after five weeks. Usually one of the early pace setters falls well off the pace but I'm not sure if that will be the case without a rep season, reserve grade and compromised coaching squads. I don't think teams will have that bounce back factor, unless they run into a side in a similar situation.

This should be the best round of the competition to date with a lot of even match-ups across the board. The only games that look lopsided to me are Knights/Broncos and Warriors/Rabbitohs. Even then, Brisbane would have to be desperate and I'm keen to see how Newcastle handle their first loss of the year. The Warriors should keep the Rabbits honest as well, they had it pretty easy against the Gold Coast, especially since the referee's weren't interested in giving the Titans any favours.

Good graph that shows the massive drop-off in quality in Round 5. Here's hoping the referees grow a pair of balls and start sin-binning teams that are blatantly giving away 7 tackle sets and penalties early in tackle counts.

How reliable is your sauce m8? I don't trust it tbh.

Go Warriors!! Smack the bunnies! (I’ve got them to win 12+)

So how is that not strip on Burgess different to the definite strip against Glenn last night... the one that they decided to overturn because he made "a second movement towards the ball"?

I’ll refer you to the jersey.
Yeah just wondering if we can pull together a dossier of inconsistencies to send to the NRL ... I mean we'd have to say it's from Souths to get it through the front door, but the last time they did that old mate got a job... we could start infiltrating NRL HQ

Pride of the league apparently allowed to just take people's heads off now

Add it to the list of inconsistencies... pretty sure TPJ would be sitting out the season if he did what Latrell just did

@soup I didnt captain Latrell, but hes got 2 try assist in the 1st half maybe i should have haha.

So now Fus has left the field with a HIA.... sooo Carrigan gets binned for hitting Pearce late ("foul play" apparently) and yet warriors lose their winger after his head was taken off and don't even get a penalty???

I wonder what NSWRL will have to say about this...

Kikau absolutely just smashed the Melbourne kicker, I think it was Munster? I couldn't tell because no one winked an eye at it, no reply, no mention of it at all.
I rate it similar to the Carrigan hit last night. But it's hard to confirm as there have been no replays of it on Fox.
Funny that.

I thought the same thing. Not as bad as Carrigan but still late. Nothing from anyone.
