Shaping up to be a very interesting game. Will be a big test of our solid defense going up against that pack. Barba coming in to form is timely, as if we get a good run on, he can give us decent space on the edges to put some points on.

We can't let this turn into a grind. We need to run their forwards side to side as much as possible. Promotion of the football will be paramount. Also, a big improvement in Hunts kicking game will be necessary as well. Poor kicks will inevitably give Inglis room to move and we really don't want that.

I'm thinking we can win, but I will be certain of it by the end of the first half when we've proven we can carry over our good performance.

I think Hunt should just kick the ball out. His kicking is not really good enough to put any pressure on the Rabbitohs, so I think he should just kick it into touch to stop Inglis from bringing the ball back where he can really do some damage.

I can't see a win. Their forward pack is huge and just as mobile as ours. They're going to be a huge problem. Their back line is finding some form and they're more than capable of punishing us on the edges..

I think they have a massive edge over us.

If we play the way we did lastnight, we'll take them. Agreed we need to minimise Inglis, both Hunt and Macca have shown they will kick to touch to slow the game down, which will be a good tactic.

With any luck, I'll be at this game - first live game in a few years, woo!!

souths are pretenders... we will decimate them

Although Souths will get GBurge & Teo back, they will be busted after yesterday's game. Ended the game with only 15 players.

Yeah, we can't kick it dead against these guys, the 7 tackle sets with their pack will be suicide, please Hunt, if you want a breather, kick it out between the try line and the 20 metre mark.

God I'm tempted to run out this team next week, I thought basically every aspect of our game was better with an extra prop in the starting side over Thaiday.

1. Barba
2. Vidot
3. Reed
4. Hodges (c)
5. Copley
6. Hoffman
7. Hunt
8. McGuire
9. McCullough

11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker (c)

14. Kennedy
15. J.Wallace
16. Oates
17. Thaiday*

* - Lowrie or Hala if Thaiday isn't fit

Hard to argue with. Thaiday would make a hell of an impact player running on the edges at tired Halfbacks.

i think kennedy was good enough as a starting prop and id give him another go in the run on side.

would love to see more of jarrod wallace. i really, really, really hope griffin has learnt that he needs to use his bench and continues to do so. it was clear last night we ran out the full game so much better with all our bench players getting reasonable minutes.

when we get a genuine 6 we are going to be such a threat.

hopefully we just work to our strengths again. keep the ball alive, support play, bit of adlib footy and back ourselves.

Too true. We'll be up against it this time. Much like the Roosters, I expect us to keep it competitive, but I doubt we can hold them out.

Being without Isaac Luke is a big advantage though.

The Tigers showed they can be out enthused, and frustrated into silly penalties. Hopefully we can follow that blueprint? We really need to tire out their big guys to stand a chance. Make them work early and often.

Will be at the game. Should be good!

One out running will be suicide in this game.

Tip-on plays and multiple runners required by our forwards, and a better kicking game to find open spaces.

so exhausting praying for hook to select players for the right roles. please keep parker at lock. keep Granville in the team please. if thaiday is back I would consider starting him on the bench at the expense of oates or Wallace. have thaiday come on as an impact edge runner. please hook stick to our strongest and most balanced side
