ANZAC day is fast becoming one of my favourite days of the calender year. I think it's great that we honour the soldiers who represented our country so bravely and really enjoy the variety the day offers.

The footy always seems to be played in good spirits as well. I thought last year's clash between Brisbane and South Sydney was among one of the best games of the season and dearly hope the Broncos get a better result this time around.

Difficult to form any expectations so far. Outside of Brisbane/St George, I've only paid attention to the results so it's difficult to know what really happened in Round 7. One thing is for sure, if my tips are any indication, my opinion of certain teams is definitely off the mark.

5 games on the same day? Holy Moly, talk about a super Saturday (albeit one game on Nein).

Going to say it too, despite the fact I think the International games are a joke, I think a huge trick is being missed by not playing the Test on Saturday. Few days stir up as much pride and patriotism as ANZAC day, it would have to be the most obvious day all year to play an International. And yet, we don't. I don't get it. If the game were played on ANZAC day I'd definitely give a ****. Next Friday though? Not a single **** will be given.

Yeah agree Ari, they're doing it for the crowds and ratings, 5 NRL games > 1 Test match in terms of money for the NRL and clubs.

I would prefer the test match though.

Kevin Naiqama has posted a contender for try assist of the year. It was the GI set up from the Centenary Test but better and he did very well to back it up with a try of his own.

Otherwise it's been a fairly uneventful game. I really hope the Bulldogs play footy in the second half because this methodical style of play isn't getting them anywhere at the moment. Exert some pressure, ask some questions of Brooks and Moses and the points will come.
