NRL will have to buy the Immortals if they want to continue the concept.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I still enjoy buying Big League and Rugby League Week magazines. It's usually a nice way to learn more about the players and I like the attitude of RLW magazine. Where as Big League tries to be objective and diplomatic, RLW isn't afraid to call a spade a spade. If it wasn't for the A3 format, I probably would have bought more of them.

Writing has been on the wall a while, every scoop is blasted wall to wall on the day it's announced, team lists are posted everywhere, stats are easily available.... it's a relic of a bygone era.

I didn't mind reading the mag but when you read it and literally 95% of it you already know because you heard about it earlier in the week, it's really kinda pointless.

It is a real shame but a definite sign of the times. Nobody buys newspapers or magazines anymore which is why all the newsagents are disappearing. RLW is an icon of the sport and will be sadly missed.

It was a big broad sheet thing when I was young. You'd take out three people trying to read it.

Thankfully Big League had me covered during high school. It made lectures a breeze, I cannot say the same about exams though!
