We all appreciate what wonderful athletes we have in the NRL but if the game's best players were in Rio this week for the Olympics, which sport would they see themselves competing in?
Leilani Latu (Panthers)
Weightlifting. I love weightlifting. I think it's awesome. It's amazing how men and women half my size and half my weight are lifting double or triple their own weight. That's awesome. I get really excited when the heavyweights do their bit. When that event starts, I'm so excited to see how much weight they actually throw over their heads.
Ken Maumalo (Warriors)
High jump would be great. I used to do it a lot back in high school and I was pretty good at it. I'm not sure I would be very good at it now with my body shape, but back then I did well at high school when I was a bit taller than the others.
Jarrod Wallace (Broncos)
Probably shot put or something like that, nothing that involves running, that's for sure. Maybe wrestling or judo.
Chris McQueen (Titans)
My uncle is Geoff Huegill and he was obviously a great swimmer but I was always more into athletics. I was a pretty good triple jumper at school. When I was in Grade 12 I made the Queensland team and came seventh at nationals which were held at the Olympic Stadium in Sydney so I'd have to say triple jump.
Trent Merrin (Panthers)
I'd like to think I'm a pretty good basketballer. It's a sport that I enjoy watching. We have a great team over there at the moment and if I had to pick one then it'd probably be basketball.
Nathaniel Roache (Warriors)
I tried to play sevens at high school, I wasn't the greatest player though. I was no Tui Lolohea. I remember playing against him, he carved us up. But I'd probably give sevens a shot.
Sam Thaiday (Broncos)
I actually wanted to go to the Olympics when I was a kid. I did athletics for eight years because I always wanted to go to an Olympic Games and throw javelin. If I wasn't doing that I'd do archery or shooting. I went skeet shooting once and I really enjoyed it. I wish I had taken it up as a kid. I'm terrible at long distance running so it definitely wouldn't be that.

The pessimist in me had a laugh and said no shit you lads don't like having a run recently....
But, is it too optimistic to say Bennett has been flogging them recently and getting plenty of miles so we are nice and fresh for the finals? So we kick the favourites tag we had at the start of this season, fly under the radar into the finals? Perhaps that's why they both seem to have a dislike for running in the front of their minds?
