Sam Burgess stretchered off - apparent serious neck injury

Just happened in the Dragons game. Nothing confirmed yet but it did not look good at all. No neck brace but a trainer held his head steady for the entire journey to the sideline. Burgess himself was weeping, so he might be in real trouble here. He was moving his limbs which is one good sign.

As much as I dislike souffs, Sammy Burger is one of the good blokes in the game. Not that I would be happy for anyone else to be the victim, but this is one bloke I'd really hate to see suffer a permanent injury. Hopefully it's nothing more than a scare!

According to Souths coach Michael Macguire, Burgess will miss this week's clash against the Bulldogs but should be right for the Round 5 clash against the Sea Eagles at Brookvale.
