Surely, the only sensible time to make a swap to trying Dearden would be after the bye week where he has had 2 weeks to run solidly with the team.

Seibold did say that about round 8 he would have a good indication of where the side is at.
So if we are 2-6 or 1-7 by that stage the indication would be fairly poor i would imagine and changes would be incomming. He is giving the guys every opportunity to show why they should be in the side. And conversly if they dont perform they are showing the coach exactly why they shouldnt.

Not sure why Dearden’s being used as threat, who honestly thinks that we’ll gain more on-field leadership and initiative by replacing either Niko or Milf with a teenage debutant?
The spine definitely needs a shakeup, it’s screaming for a leader and shot caller but looking at this current side it should come from replacing the #1 or #9

An hour before the game, but even then it can be changed if someone gets hurt in the warm up.
