NEWS Seibold is already changing the Broncos

They're stable until they miss the finals again or bomb out in Week 1, and then the knives will be out.

I'm not cheering for Siebold or his methods. I'm not against them or down on them either. I just think time isthe judge and I'll start raving about AS after he proves his methods prove successful. Two premierships should be evidence enough.

FFS no one is fucking raving about him, simply commenting on what he is currently doing.

Honestly, I give up.

We know Bennett can win a premiership as he’s done it 7 times.

We know seibold can reach a prelim.

I liked Wayne but I also thought it was time to move on and it made sense to me to do a straight swap which I posted in August.

WB won a GF in 2010 with a squad he inherited / tweaked. The previous GF win in 2006 was when the cap was different and our squad was practically the Qld side.

The point being since 2006 he hasn't put together a squad which has gone all the way. He doesn't seem to be able to manage the cap that well, IMO, which is bolstered by his recent commitments to Macca, Bird and Boyd and inability to sign a half.

McGuire with what looks like a little backhand directed at the club..

"It had nothing to do with me. I was out of there before everything went down. It's just great to be part of a club [at the Cowboys] that is so stable … and knows what they are working towards.

Once a rat always a rat. I thought he left because he wanted the coin. I’m glad he’s gone because frankly, he’s mediocre af. I never understood the hype around him.

He got made a good offer, but Seibold sanctioned the move. He would have been stupid to turn it down anyway.

Tbf to moose, he isn't wrong. We weren't stable.

actually, we know Bennett USED to be able to win premierships ... he hasn't won one in a decade ... and he can't keep his job because of his reputation and what he used to be able to do ... we wouldn't accept that from a player, why should we accept that from our coach

With that thought process, seibold hasn't ever won a premiership so why'd we get him ?

We have one of the best squads in the whole game going into next season.

I’d argue that only the roosters are better.

I'm like alot of people, I'm excited for change. I was happy to have Bennett stay on but also knew something had to change.

The bottom line is this, Seibold has proven nothing until he wins us our 7th premiership. I'm all for him to come in, shake things up, do it his way and I'm 110% behind him, but until he wins us a premiership, his methods and all this talk mean nothing.

IMO, if the team can develop the grit that was missing since 2015, then Seibold has proven everything.

Coaches are only proven successful when they win premierships. Clubs and coaches are judged on winning premierships.

I'd love for Seibold to instill in us the grit of 2015, it would go a long way for us to win another premiership, but if we ultimately don't win another premiership for 5 years, what has he proven?

It would be naive to expect a premiership so soon. WB came back and the expectation was that premierships would come with it, that didn't happen and we got wiped by the dragons last year....The position the team was in/was going was not great under WB. If Seibold can turn this around, and make the right calls player wise, i am happy to come 2nd or 3rd for a year or two. That to me is success.

I'd rather come 2nd or 3rd than 6th or 7th, sure, but we see things differently.

We haven't been champions or held up the premiership trophy since 2006. Enough is enough. We need our 7th premiership. It has been long enough. Winning the premiership is success.

1 premiership in 13 years of coaching the highest profile club in the game. That return would lose any coach their position, regardless of previous success. And those results are particularly telling considering how much the game has changed in the last 20 years.

The club had decided to move on, and who can really blame them.

I see top 4 as a pass mark next year.

McGuire might be regretting this move and saying this sooner rather than later. He might have jumped ship to soon. I feel Seibold will get the Broncos up better than Green will get the Cowboys up.

I couldn't really care about grit. If the team doesn't perform at least as well as the last four years, what was the last six months drama all about?
I'm confident they can improve, by the way.

I absolutely want Seibold to succeed, just like I wanted Henjak and Griffin to succeed. Seibold is our coach and our leader now. He should do it completely his way. My thoughts and feelings on Wayne Bennett haven't changed. He's still the greatest coach IMO and I'll always be grateful for the success he has brought us, but Seibold is our future and every single Broncos fan should get behind him and the team.

Everytime we have implemented change, we've been successful in the short term. Bennett left in 2008, Henjak was brought in and got us to 1 game from the GF in 2009. Griffin came in and did the same in 2011. Bennett came in and came within 1 second of winning us the 2015 premiership. Seibold has now come in and.....? We'll see.

What I'm also saying is coming 2nd or 3rd every year and being competitive and a title contender is a given, we want that and should be achieving that EVERY year, but it has now been 12 years without winning a premiership and coming 2nd or 3rd just being competitive isn't cutting it anymore. We need that 7th premiership. The pressure is on but we need to get the job done. I'm sick and tired of seeing the Melbourne Storm consistently play in GF's and winning premierships. It's our fucking turn and whoever isn't on board with that I seriously have to question their support and loyalty to our club.
