There’s a play we did last year that was so well done but we haven’t done since.

Hufanga against the grain used as a decoy runner and the pass going out the back to Maddick. Hufanga is such a threat against the grain that it draws in defenders and that created a massive overlap and we score.

We haven’t done anything like that since. I don’t know why.

As you mentioned in the live thread, it’s a tough ask for the girls to be on song every week for such a short competition. There is little room to be out of form and unfortunately we picked a terrible time to run out of puff.

Hufanga has been terrible this year. Poor handling and defence. Her runs haven’t been any where near as damaging as last year. Losing waaka seemed to be a turning point in our season.

She hasn’t been at her best but she still attracts defenders. She’s a great decoy with how hard she is to stop close to the line.

Losing Waaka did definitely have an impact, as well.

We missed her runs and her try scoring ability.

Only saw the second half but we just kept dropping it and forcing things that weren't there. Looked pretty toothless and I guess the donut reflects that.

What a shocking day to play your worst game of the season. A solid season but the girls but one they should feel that they missed out.

Hell of a time to lose your first game at TWW Stadium, lose to the Sharks for the first time, and be held to nil for the time in history

Ali putting bombs up and having them start their sets on their 30, only using our wingers as battering rams and standing on our heels in defense sure was a great game plan.. We were terrible.

Yep, we just ran out of steam yesterday. I feel like one try would have hit a switch but we couldn't hold the ball often enough and when we built pressure we'd let them off easy. Classy team though that play for each other. Congrats ladies on a great and entertaining season.
