Police don't work that way. If she has presented to the police and provided enough evidence that they believe it appropriate to charge him, they will pursue it regardless whether she withdraws her statement or asks for the charges to be drop the charges. In fact, they could find themselves with additional charges.
In saying that, perhaps is manager is in fact a potato.
She could do the same as Greg Bird's ex and refuse to testify in court. And his manager most certainly is a potato - when the chips were down he fried Semi's chances of a decent deal. Now he can't look his client in the eyes and tried to mash the NRL into adding a few gems by leaving them to stew over whether Semi would come back or leave Parra without a good side. Fortunately the NRL showed a bit of starch and won't be peeled. Semi baked his jacket and now he has to wear it, no matter how much French Union tries to butter him up.
