If you have a look at the broncos form since he stepped down as a coach especially the forwards it's not that good. I think he was a great mentor for the young forwards and we need to do anything to get him back. They are saying Tonie Carroll has helped alot and lifted the attitude of the younger blokes in the team. I think we need a couple of old heads around to really give the young blokes the leadership they need.

Any thoughts?

Exactly, we definately need him there. I mean Peter Ryan is supposed to be a defense guru but have a look at the way we have defended this year. He need's to get the ass. I just think as much as we need to bring through the young guys I am a huge fan of bringing Carroll back, we are lacking experience so bad and we need a couple of old heads. Maybe we should even bring in Scott Logan for 1 last season while Josh McGuire matures. We should bring Gillmeister back as well! Maybe we need a backs coach like Steve Renouf to show Steve Michaels how to be a decent centre.

So? There's no anti tampering laws regarding coaches. If the Broncos want him, offer him a deal he likes, we could get him.

Besides, he'd probably prefer to work for a real club rather than a manufactured fake franchise like the Titans.

Are we taking crazy pills? Getting Webbie, the axe and other former greats back in the team would undermine the current roster and have the potential to embaress the greats.

How long has the AXE, WEBBIE and Tallis etc been out of the game. Forwards need to be able to offload, pass before the line etc. when has webbie ever done a decent offload (mind you how ofte does the current pack offload)

Webcke developed a nice little offload into his game before he retired, he and Petero both improved their ballplaying skills dramatically in their last season here.

Webcke needs to be brought back to mentor the young'uns

Just teaching our forwards how to effectively tackle (dominant) would be a start.

Yeah, I'd much, much, much rather have forwards learn how to tackle, defend properly and whatever else Webcke can pass on, than worry about offloading the ball.

How is it taking crazy pills? The forwards need some toughness, we have ball playing forwards and they aren't doing the job. Webcke and Gillmeister would add alot, Webcke would show the young forward the way to get over the top of the teams forward pack and Gillmeister would show them how to defend. As much as the game is built on flash and ball playing now there is still a need for tough forwards who show a bit of grit and just take the ball up hard.
