  • No, that would be too easy. He should suffer longer.

Didn’t Milford say he wants $600 k. I would much rather keep both kelly and gamble for that. Milf would be much happier playing touch footy up at whites hill every week. Don’t put him through any more mental anguish.
$600k :rofl :rofl :rofl

He's currently rehabbing a knee surgery that he was playing through so I'm going to go with injury.

Not saying he's not currently cooked, but that would explain the lack of speed.
Lack of speed for the last 4 years?

This is the reality with Milf and he needs to understand it - he COULD get a second wind in his career but at present it seems unlikely and every club knows it otherwise he would have some offers coming in.

So Milf has four options really:

1. Stay at Brisbane on an almost minimum wage and DO NOT expect to be starting half automatically - 200k max (he may still be worth more than that but he isn't to the Broncos)

2. Go to another NRL club on a late career Benji kind of low wage deal and hope that he can Ben Barba his career (on field, not off field)

3. Go to the Super League, he might even still get a decentish salary there, maybe even around 500k+

4. Retire and just accept he doesn't have it anymore and there is no shame in that.

In any case, he is extremely damaged goods and the only way we or another club will take him is on a low wage, he is too high risk for a possibly but unlikely high reward. He and his manager need to accept he is unlikely to get more than 300k if that.

Do we risk missing out on Nikorima by keeping a quarter-charged Milford?

200k to stay in Brisbane and play sport in the reserves. Not sure what Milford’s lifestyle is like but I’d be jumping at that kind of gig as it sounds like a dream to us common folk.

FYI Milford once made playing golf on a Tuesday afternoon look tedious. Hard No unless they start handing out POTY awards for looking highly fatigued during everyday relaxation activities.

I doubt the club will be interested in the first option so he will have to pick one of the others.
