The halfback from the Warriors has got it and I am really impressed with the Knights new young 5 / 8, Stig.
He comes from Maitland where the Stigs are all brickies and concretors.
Good hard stock.
I haven't seen a player with a left and right step like Stig since Brad ' Adolf' Fittler busrt on to the scene.
Big call but genuine observation.

I exclude Benji from this because Stig has the Fittler step rather than the Benji thing.
Keep an eye on them both.

Reynolds from the dogs looks alright

Canberra's Sam Williams looks promising. Hope he keeps a starting spot and doesn't suffer a Mortimer-esque fate.

It's amazing what's happened to Mortimer.

He was mooted as NSW's saviour at one point.

He plays for Parramatta. That's cruel for any young player.

He has the nicest eyes I've ever seen. Those baby blues will get him everywhere. And his last name.

He'll be back. It doesn't help that he has ROBSON beside him.

Between them Robson is easily the better player.

From the Warriors Under 20s:

Conrad Hurrel - huge centre, very very Tana Umaga-ish
Omar Schleiemnkel - try scoring freak of a fullback
Sam Lousi - yougner brother of first grader Sione, he's 198cm tall and weighs almost 120kg, and he's only 20 years old!

I hope this guy makes it, purely for his awesome name.

^^^ This. Imagine Rabs trying to say it! [icon_lol1.

I like James Segeyaro & Nefe (?) Seluini. Their speed off the mark is awesome. I like how the hooker position has really progressed over the years.

Seluini actually used to be a fullback/winger I think.

Agree though, his pace out of dummy half is a huge threat.

I thought he was going really bad in a recent Eels game I was watching, but then realised it was Casey McGuire.

Shows where they are going with the posi. Isaac Luke style playing. Fast, sharp play out of dummy half, makes for exciting footy. Just remains to be seen if they have the brains to know how to get their forwards going.

I think Robson is in the mould of Shane Perry. A solid player at best. Capable of occasionally getting his forwards on the front foot and producing some good kicks.

Mortimer I think has more potential to be a game breaker. He needed someone better to learn from and support his style of play.

By that token Robson would look better if he had a better five eigth next to him as opposed to Mortimer and McGuire.

Agreed! I went to school with him and hsi brothers, they are Afghani (I think( immigrants: Omar is on his way to becoming a pro footballer, Khalid and Walid are champion bodybuilders and the other brother (his name escapes me now) is a champion amateur wrestler. They were the first set of "four" brothers to play First Fifteen rugby at Auckland Grammar. A pretty cool story.
