Is there a more improved player in the NRL this season?

The change of scenery has obviously done him wonders. Looks a lot more confidence in defence and taking the right options in attack. Making good metres out of dummy half as well. The step and pass tonight to put Gordon in the corner was great stuff.

Good to see him turn his career around, just wish it was for a team more likeable than the Titans [eusa_doh

I await AP's opinion on this issue.

Chuck Brad Meyers into the same category, has been a consistently good prop for a few years now at GC.

He has no baggage at the Titans so he doesn't have that horrible season at the back of his mind all the time like he would here. He wouldn't feel any need to make amends or prove anyone wrong.

Pity his pass was forward, but oh well [icon_razz1

still very suspect in defence for mine, and that was always the BIG problem here.

A giant 'told ya' to the critics. Michaels has always had ability. Confidence issues may have gotten the better of him for a while, but you don't just lose your ability to play footy. Some guys like AP obviously still have a lot to learn about footy.

Its amazing the difference a good man manager can make. Michaels obviously feels wanted down the M1, whilst I'm not sure Henjack is the best at this.. Is it a coincidence that Michaels played his best footy under Bennett, a noted man manager? They do say the best coaches get the most out of their players

However the facts cannot be argued with, he has had a new lease of life at the Gold Coast. He also has attracted comment from all the league following media with mentions on NRL on Fox,Fattys show and Mat Johns shows not to forget plenty of comment on radio and in print in the various league publications. They are not all wrong as there are many knowledgeable people amongst them and the opinion is consistent, he is playing well and has proven his detractors wrong up to this point. He does however need to sustain this level to finally shut the mouths of the know littles.

Good to see. When you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming you etc. icon_thumbs_u

I am really pleased for him - it's always good to see people with obvious talent get things back on track. I am amazed though that other teams really haven't sent any attacking raids his way since he has been a Titan - Kevin Gordon isn't the best defender either - you would think there would be opportunities down that side?

**** this guy. You put in shit efforts every week for the team that gave you your shot and then when we have the nerve to dump a player who plays like shit he tries his hardest to say **** you to us. well **** you back.

He's doing a job and performing solidly, but it's not as if he's setting the world on fire down there.

Still, good on him. It's good to see a player put the past behind him and put on some good performances.

I think we traded well off for Inglis though... [icon_shru [icon_lol1.

Hardly.

+1. And to the original post.... most improved? well maybe, since he went from being probably the worst player in the nrl along with daniel fitzhenry to being solid at best. hes only been playing for a few games, lets see if he can maintain that. my bet is he cant, just like he couldnt at the broncos.

Pretty sure he was trying hard when he was playing for the Broncos. His confidence was about as low as it can get so it's no wonder he was playing ordinary.

Good on him I say, sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery to help out.

I never thought the problem was his to start with but our defensive pattern left him stranded so often. Eventually he lost confidence and the rest is history. Good luck to him I hope he improves further and gets the most from his career.

+1000.

Playing like that for another team after the rubbish he dished up in the Broncos jersey - it's just sh!tting on our great jersey all over again as far as I'm concerned.

I still think it could be the Henjak factor.

Maybe he lost confidence in Henjak & his games suffered.
