Just thought I'd make a thread on who you think is the best player in each position this year.

Fullback- Jarryd Hayne
Winger- Bryson Goodwin
Centre- Michael Jennings
Five-Eighth- Jamie Soward
Half-Back- Brett Kimmorly
Front Row- Michael Weyman
Hooker- Michael Ennis
Second Row- Ben Creigh
Lock- David Stagg

Fullback- Jarryd Hayne
Winger- Brett Morris
Centre- Greg Inglis
Five-Eighth- Jamie Soward
Half-Back- Brett Kimmorly
Front Row- Ben Hannant
Hooker- Micheal Ennis
Second Row- Anthony Watmough
Lock- David Stagg

Jeba's list looks about right to me. I'd have went with Jennings in the centres though.

This is the team I'd want playing for my life on 2009 club form:

1. J Hayne
2. B Morris
3. J Morris
4. J Hodges
5. T Tuiaki
6. J Soward
7. B Kimmorley
8. F Moi Moi
9. M Ennis
10. M Scott
11. A Watmough
12. G Ellis
13. D Stagg

14. D Taylor
15. J Clinton
16. P Gallen
17. D Lockyer

Josh Dugan for rookie of the year IMO.

Nah. He has been in and out of first grade this year and has had some shockers (and some blinders too).

Mortimer and Locke for sure before Dugan.

I've heard Jamal Idris is still in the running but he's been a bit off the boil lately.

I think Glenn and Summerpot are smokies for rookie of the year.

They might not have had the impact Dugan, Idris and Mortimor have had but they have played consistent football and have played
more matches than the others.

Really? Jamal Idris made his debut last year and played 3-4 games I think I don't think he qualifies as a rookie. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I reckon he'd be way off though anyway - He was exceptional at the start of the year but has only had a few good games here and there since then.

Yeah that's what i thought myself but i have been told that he is nominated as he played less then 5 games last year so he is still a rookie.

Yeh I'm 99% sure that is correct. Greg Eastwood was nominated in 2006 after playing a game in 2005, and a few people questioned it and someone here kindly posted up the eligibility rules.

I think Kieran Foran is a big chance for rookie of the year. The kid can play and he plays tough as well, he has a big future.
