INJURED

LATEST JUDICIARY

Would be wonderful if he is. If we get him heading into finals, we are a genuine threat because we are potent both sides with Herbie in the team. Lee is a great back up but he doesn’t bring that kind of speed and power that Herbie does.

There was never any fear though was there? We all kinda new that he'd be back before the end of the season. A more accurate headline would be 'Herbie's planned return confirmed'.

Big injury toll this weekend.

Dave Ballard:

"Payne Haas has had ongoing issues with the AC joints in both of his shoulders and it is a testament to his toughness and dedication to his team that he’s been able to continue playing on. It’s a long season and Payne needs time off to recover, and as a result will miss at least the next couple of games."
“Scans show that Te Maire Martin has sustained fractured rib cartilage and he will definitely miss this week’s game against the Dragons, with his return based on how the injury presents in the weeks ahead.
Corey Jensen has picked up a Grade 2 calf strain which can involve a number of weeks of rehab but knowing Corey’s dedication to his training and preparation, he’ll return as fast as possible.”
“Unfortunately TC Robati suffered a broken arm which will sideline him for 4-6 weeks, while fellow backrower Brendan Piakura sustained a head knock early in that game which forced him from the field and he will not be available for selection this week.”

Question might become whether we can actually fill a 17 man squad.

No wonder we're on the slide. On top of Reyno, Farnworth and Paix, this is nuts. Melbourne and Penrith would be losing games by 20+ with casualty wards like that.

FFS, of course we lose Jensen the same week we lose Haas.

TMM sounds like he could be over a month, no official word on Tesi?

Anyone questioning TMM’s impact should note that we let in more tries in one half than our per game average with TMM at fullback.

UPDATED CASUALTY WARD
Not including ongoing concerns with Adam Reynolds, Tyson Gamble and Tesi Niu:

Te Maire Martin: fractured rib cartilage, will miss round 17 and then monitor.
Brendan Piakura: HIA. Round 18.
Cory Paix: grade 2 MCL. Round 19-20.
Paine Haas: shoulders, Round 19-20.
Albert Kelly: Lisfranc foot injury. Round 21.
Corey Jensen: grade 2 calf strain, Round 20-22.
TC Robati: broken arm. Round 20-22.
Herbie Farnworth: ruptured biceps. Round 25.

FFS, of course we lose Jensen the same week we lose Haas.

.... and lose Carrigan and Flegler

Feels like there is a big ass injury list for the Broncos every single year.

Piakura and another head knock 🫣
It's pretty worrying, for us fans, and for himself. He needs to change his play style if he wants to have a career and still be healthy at the other end too.

Expect Te Maire back in 2-4 weeks. That's round 18-20.

Here are our best case scenario returns.
Give or take a week or two.
Note: Rnd 18 is backing up from Origin.

Rnd 17. Dragons: Niu
Rnd 18. Titans: Martin, Piakura, Flegler. Cobbo, Carrigan, Capewell (Origin).
Rnd 19. Eels: Paix, Haas
Rnd 20. Tigers: Jensen, Robati
Rnd 21. Roosters: Kelly
Rnd 22. Knights.
Rnd 23.Storm.
Rnd 24. Eels
Rnd 25. Dragons: Farnworth
Finals.

It was a head clash; he didn’t do anything wrong.

He was report for a high tackle so he probably sits out a week anyway.

That toll is absolutely nuts, no idea whatsoever how we fill a team.
