The recent events in cricket and to a lesser extent locally has made me create a thread about the game in question at the moment. The allegations at this stage are that a plunge was launched but was unsuccessful. The basis is that a player will concede a penalty directly in front in the early stages of the game.That scoring play will be what the bookies pay out on.

That raises the question surely. Conceding the penalty is one thing but surely someone has to decide to take it.

That is, if the sting is to work.

Which leads me to ask...who decides whether or not to take a penalty for the Cowboys ???

and secondly, did they decide to not go through with it...like someone tipped them that betting had been suspended ???

Tipping the bloke who took the quick tap had no knowledge of the sting. Whether he knew or not - he should be lynched. I was on at the $12 [icon_lol1.

Looked pretty dodgy when Tandy dropped the ball AND gave away the penalty, but then I remembered that he is a really crap player so errors like this occur in his game regularly.

Is something happening with this police investigation into the game and the sting itself ?? It just seems quiet, warywary quiet. You'd have to think there would be a few people involved, maybe even a few different levels
I'm guessing there is some evidence of wrongdoing out there, already gathered but being sat on till after the finals. If the story erupts though the finals might be front page news....or not ...might turn out to have been a storm in a teacup ....
