The Red Line

After tonight, I'm ready to put Cronulla below the line. If they couldn't flog us, despite us missing 7 Origin players and having two guys out injured for most of the game, they won't get very far in the finals.

So? Broncos couldn't flog Manly in R26 last year without key players.

We lost key players yet managed to play some good footy?

Unless Corey Norman actually starts producing something under pressure in tight games, I'd put the red line through Brisbane. We can't rely on Wallace, Hunt, McCullough to produce all our attack in finals games.

Don't forget Hoffman...... oh wait.

Parra and Penrith are the only 2 i have totally written off for the rest of the year. The will battle it out for the spoon.

I agrre with Ari that the bottom 10 are bascially gone, don't think they can get a run on home. Cronulla will run out of puff towards the end though a pretty good effort to be up there at this stage. Tigers up and down and as much as Souths are also, i reckon they would be the best chance, along with the warriors to really come home with a wet sail. Souths have a pretty good run home. The two teams that worry me the most are Melbourne - just a great team and Manly - with their full side back will be extremly hard to stop (2 in a row can be done which hurts to say). So basically, Storm, Manly, Rabbits, Warriors.....of course with Broncs there around 3rd.

Souths are a chance but they won't win it. They will make it into the finals then Mario or some other former Souths legend will talk them up and history will repeat itself.

Top six this year? :D

Sorry mate, didn't come out as i meant it. Those 6, including the Dogs, i reckon are the best chances of winnign the GF, with Manly and the Storm being the main dangers and the Rabbits the smokeys.

No need to apologies cos I'm being a smart arse, I agree with with you about the Rabbits though, I'm starting to to take notice without being convinced just yet.

Agree, we really should finish top 4 at least. If we don't it probably means we lose all 3 games against the Storm, Dogs and Manly. If that is the case we don't have the team to win it anyway.

Hard to know if I should snap up a ticket for the GF on spec when they come on sale.

Cronulla.
I respect the side, but whoever said they are a 6/10 consistent side is correct. They are worthy of the red line.
The iffy teams are Tigers/Warriors. I'm not game enough to put a red line on them yet but I don't think they will go the distance.

Melbourne ......cannot win it this year. Yes, it is possible to prove me wrong but I do not believe they have the depth this year to last the season. The Bulldogs are favourites. I believe Souths have a better chance than Melbourne. The Broncos are amongst 4 teams with a real shot. Dogs Souths Broncos and North Queensland. What I'd like more than anything else is to see a repeat of the Super League GF with the same result but would be nearly as happy with Cronulla finally breaking rugby leagues longest drought.
