Very disturbing accounts given across the media so far this morning and I hope it can all be sorted as soon as possible for the sake of all involved. If the club decides to move towards contract termination or suspension, regardless of the outcome of the investigation, I honestly would be completely comfortable with the loss of the alleged offenders, all things considered. The club's name, integrity and reputation is of far greater importance.

Sad times for the club and all the good people who helped make it the proud club that it has been over the past two decades.
 
Yeh, after more browsing some other forums as well as other sites, it is deifnitely official. The three players are Body, Thaiday and Hunt, CONFIRMED.

I was REALLY REALLY hoping it was not going to be Hunt, but it was definitely going to be three players from the top 17 for sure, and judging by the claims and night club, it was going to be one of the young ones...

We have to see how it all unfolds though.

Reading between the lines, in a nutshell:

1) Girl agreed to engage in oral sex with the three players in the toilet
2) girl agreed to have sex with two of them in the toilet
3) the third player pulled out his mobile phone and started filming

her problem was with the unconsensual filming.

IF... and I stress IF this happens to be the case, (after everything has been solved) then personally I would say a sacking is harsh, but it would leave a black mark on Hunt's and Thaiday's career, but if they were to be sacked they would just sign with other NRL clubs and prosper on. Disgusting behaviour that is true, but it is far, far from rape, not even justifible to use the word in this situation.

of course, this is all a big IF.
 
Yeah, the talk prior to the media reports this morning about one of them being in trouble seem to be with regards to the unconsenual filming. If this alleged activity is found to be true, then it could mean disaster for the offender.

We shall wait and see what the investigations bring. Naturally i'd hope the alleged offender or offenders are found to be guilty of nothing more than stupidity, which I think they'll be heavily punished for by the club anyway if the authorities find no grounds for criminal charges.

yeh IF the article is true and that is all there is to it, the filmer = sacked? you reckon? even more, all of them sacked?
Naturally Boyd is off to the dragons of course.

I dont think anything will come of this from the police for the 2 players involved in sexual act but maybe the player that film it, if women invloved consented then there is no real problem if she didnt then that would be rape !!! This kind of thing would happen in nightclubs of the world every weekend but because it is high profile footy players is all over media, as i said before filmer may be in a bit of trouble but not the other 2.

Read also in article that women only went to police after being told to do so by her friend, sounds a bit strange to me mmmmm but we shall see what happens
 
So IF the article is true she's made the complaint based on how she was filmed putting the grrr in swinger. Im not sure what the law says about non consensual filming but to claim rape/sexual assault hmm
 
Although I dont think much will come of this, I think itd be wise for the Broncos to stand the players down this week. The fact that they went out on an allday binge session, in the middle of a finals campaign is enough to warrent it imo. Coupled with allegations of disrespecting patrons and taxi goers (see SMH.com.au), and these allegations, I dont think the Broncos could do anything but enforce their own suspension. Especially blokes like Thaiday and Hunt, who are Premiership winning/Origin winning/Test winning players, and considered senior members of our squad. Poor discipline, and straight out idiocy that should not go unpunished.

That "but because hes a footy player" garbage doesnt wash with me. You sign up to play knowing you're in the media spotlight. You know what people are like (Bulldogs 2003). You know what happens.
 
well not as bad as what you start to beleive. Saying that im sure the club will have a 'scapegoat' in the filmer and be sacked.

So its basically gone from rape, to sexual assault to inappropriate use of a phone.

i dont even think guys who take pics/video of naked chicks at bondi beach get a harsh penalty do they?

I wonder if WB will keep Boyd on for next year at the Dragons???

But the club has obviously not given the team a no drinking rule, so basically they werent doing anything wrong by the club. That doesnt excuse them thinking they could go out and be ok.
 
Sounds like the filmer is the only one who basically did anything without consent. So maybe only one player will get in real trouble?

Imagine how hard this is to explain to my young children 7-12 who were so excited
about this weekends game with the storm to now trying to cover news headlines saying players
may be axed due to sexual assault allegations. STUPID STUPID STUPID!
 
must have been a classy girl to go into the mens toilets with 3 blokes.

in saying that though, these guys are idiots. even if these allegations are false, how they could put themselves in that position especially at this time of year is unbelievable. i dont think anyone was really all that surprised when hunt's name came up were they?

the amount of bad press these guys have brought to the club, and the game (and the damage that does) in a season where off field incidents have been bad enough they should be sacked on that alone.
