So I thought silly season deserved a thread of its own. Post transfer news and rumors here, for discussion or just a laugh (we know how many transfer rumors are unintentionally hilarious!)

To start us off...

http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n.../9/inter-line-£17m-summer-swoop-man-city-star

Inter Milan are lining up a £17million summer bid for Gareth Barry, according to sources in Italy.

The Manchester City midfielder is top of a long list of transfer targets drawn up by new Inter manager Leonardo.

But, with Barry under contract at Eastlands until 2014, Inter know they will have to offer a huge fee to land him.

[icon_lol1. Why!? Barry is shit! He hasn't been useful for about 3 seasons or so now. Surely they can do better than Gareth Barry [icon_lol1.

Talksport is absolute shite. Wouldn't believe a thing on there.

Yeah so are heaps of other sources... it's just a bit of a laugh though.

Add it to The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, The Times etc etc

In fact it's usually a good idea to take everything with a pinch of salt until the signing has been announced.

Juan Iturbe (17 y/o) has signed with Porto for next season. He's playing the U/20's South America cup for Argentina, and is apparently regarded as the next Messi. I hope he makes good on that promise! eusa_think

Is there any truth to the rumour that Tottenham is interested in Hulk? Because they're gonna need really deep pockets! [icon_lol1.
