Time to turn Broncos season around: Hunt

The whole team bar two or three players is shit at the moment. Removing the halfback who has carried our team for the past 2 years is ****ing ludicrous. Bet you weren't saying that at the start of the year were you

If someone is on the slide how long do you give them? I've been a Hunt fan since he came through the 20's but if he has gone to s*** then it needs to be identified as an issue. We all know how much talent he has but if he doesn't pull his finger out he will just be another coulda been... What does Bennett do, hope he comes good next year, or maybe 2018 he'll come good? He has to finish this season strong or he will be under pressure next year with Kodi sitting there

considering we have put up with Thaiday and Glenn for two years

Agreed, but the half backs role is a more crucial role than a second row forward. Hunt was under pressure from last year and for mine he hasn't stood up to his expectations. I'm not saying 'sack him' just saying I think he might find himself under serious pressure soon should his form not improve.

If this season gets much worse(somehow) does anyone think Hunts head might be on the chopping block? If we miss the 8 which is on the cards there will be hell to pay... For all his talent and potential he does some bone headed s*** pretty regularly. Maybe KNico could be the plan B? There will be a clean out in the backline(has to be) and I think that will include Kahu, Reed and Maranta... We should see another prop too hopefully. I just get the feeling the Hunt might be told to look elsewhere if he doesn't get his s*** together soon. His game management and bonehead errors will be his undoing.

If we had a fair share of possession, more importantly, near the opposition's line, and we were struggling for points, then yes, the halves would be ripe for scrutiny. But that's not the case. We're losing because of defence, errors, discipline, and attitude.

Yeah you sure sound like a Ben Hunt fan... If Ben Hunt was our biggest issue at the moment we would be laughing. Hunt dropped the ball in the GF and is now the scapegoat for everything. His form has not been great but has been no where near as bad as made out. If you think you remove Hunt and anything changes you are delusional. Also, if on form we are saying we need to lose a half I'm not sure why Milford is getting such a free ride.

The thing is, when in the 20, we still have the best strike rate in the comp.

Hunt has a lot to do with that.

The halves are down on confidence and the forwards are not laying a platform. When that changes, you will see a big improvement.

People need to give them time.

The bigger issue is the whole team is playing like a stinking wet shit sandwich. There are many a finger that can be pointed and Hunt is just one of them...though a key one at that. Something is very array in the ball club. When you look at last year you saw a brick wall of defense that more often than not was unbreakable. This year it is a powder puff. Guys aren't having fun and they sure as hell aren't playing for each other. I hazard to guess that they aren't all that crazy about their captain either.

Funny how when a side really puts there heart and soul into defense and it really doesn't matter what sport you are talking about, winning becomes a world more likely. Until they regain it, the only question remains is how low on the ladder they will fall.

Unbreakable had nothing to do with it last year, he can't tackle for sh*t

The issue is much more of a collective nature, than any individual player. The forwards aren't helping the halves, who aren't helping their forwards either... and our defensive starch is all but gone.

All points to deficiencies in attitude and strategy, which are ultimately a coaching issue imo, whatever that may mean.

I didn't say Hunt was our biggest issue, the guy isn't responsible for others making handling errors or making decent meters up the field, as others have said the whole team is in all sorts.... However he is responsible for his own actions and when you are the halfback for the Brisbane Broncos that title comes with expectation. I just think that at a time where the team is under performing the spine positions come under more pressure to steady the ship. I believe along with a lot of others that the root of our problems lie with our forwards but that's not the whole problem.

I believe its leadership. Everyone is playing their own position but it is not happening as a team. There is no one talking out there and that was evident in the last few home games. I dont see anyone yelling out the orders. I dont see anyone patting someone on the back when they have done something positive or negative for that matter. We need someone out there barking the orders. Our halves are very quiet. Someone start revving up!!! PLEASE

The way I see the broncos whole team is not playing good at the moment. There is one or two player played well. I don't care if its forwards problem or half backs are playing good. There are also no change in the team. They win game against rabbits because rabbits player very bad. Whole this year broncos team performed average as compare to last year. I don't think their performance gone improve remaining 6 rounds. The game they might win are dargon and eels. They gone loose game against storm, bulldog, roosters. If they make final 8, they will out in first week of finals. Overall this season is very disappointing. Injuries are just excuse. Look at storm injuries this year, they way bad in injuries department as compare to us . The are in second position on the ladder. I hope wayne do some changes off season.

Some here were calling for him to be changed to No9

I really thought they would aim up on the weekend, 4th spot up for grabs and they play like that.
If they played Newcastle last Friday night I reckon Newcastle would have won.
They Play the roosters this week, if the roosters play like they did against Melb they will lap us.

Not one forward made more than 92mtrs against Penrith. As much as I don't rate Hunt we could have Jesus playing at half for us and if the forwards made that sought of ground I think he'd prefer to be on the cross.

Who unbreakable?? That would not work either, his service is too slow and he can't pass off the ground.

I never see Parker barking orders behind the try line after the opposition scores a try. He kinda just meanders around looking all glum. Hodges was a much better leader and the results last year showed.

Like Bennett said last week he saw Alf have plenty of bad days when his forwards weren't doing their jobs.

I believe it's 110% attitude. We just don't have that right. Fix that and all of a sudden our problems become much smaller.

That, and constant injuries ruining combinations, and playing next to a new guy every week makes it harder to build defensive confidence.
