NRL rookie Jordan Rapana is walking away from the final year of his contract with the Gold Coast Titans -but there is no touch of Sonny Bill Williams about this departure.

Rapana, 19, has filed his paperwork to do mission work abroad, preaching the values of the Mormon church.

This is bad news for the Titans he is a superstar. I am glad to see him stick to his religious beliefs though.

But ffs Mormonism is one step below Scientology in the OBVIOUS SCAM category. It was started by a convicted fraudster and he lived high on the hog because of it. The weird thing is, until the 1970s blacks were called sub-human by this cult as part of its official doctrine. I guess blacks who are good earners are ok.

As for Folou, he is more valuable to the cult as a wage earner than a missionary. He won't be leaving to go abroad any time soon.

Can't say I'm a big supporter of religion in general.

But if this is what makes the bloke happy, brings peace into his life and helps him develop and grow good relationships, then good on him! He could be staying here making a wad of cash etc. but he is taking on something far more important to him.

Can't say I agree with what they believe or their methods, but still commend and respect Jordan for his decision.
