Could this end up being the try of the season? It is so far.

Impressive effort indeed !!
Still a long way to go in the year though, and with the athleticism of the players these days, i dare say we might see something even better down the track.
The commentators who go on about the athleticism today for these freakish tries are forgetting one thing. They're only happening since they changed the rules to have the corner posts in play. I can't argue with them being described as freakish, but it didn't happen in years gone by because they'd be ruled in touch most of the time. They wouldn't risk those superman jumps because of the corner posts.
Yes and no, just before they changed the rule we were seeing freaky ones, reaching around the post which IMO is what inspired the changes, wingers of years gone by just didn't have what these kids do todayThe commentators who go on about the athleticism today for these freakish tries are forgetting one thing. Frankly that wouldn't win my try of the season. It's a spectacular effort and display of athleticism but there's very little 'football' to it. To me the great tries are the ones that go through many sets of hands and involve numerous members of the team. Personally I'd rather watch see a try in the vein of Mark Coyne's origin miracle or Blake Asyhford's against the Storm last year than a guy doing a very spectacular jump.
Barbs didn't even look like attempting to tackle Inglis after that horrible chip.
