Tuqiri close to being back!

Is Taniela Tuiaki still at the Tigers? Man, having him on one wing, Tuqiri on the other...where do you kick the ball? You don't want either of them running back at you really.

I'm excited at the thought of Lote being back in RL - I just hope he is able to be successful again. Hopefully he will realise (like Dell did) that he won't be able to play how he used to and adjust to a different style/role

just belt it along the ground and hope they have trouble picking it up.

Well yeah but I'm thinking more the long kick scenario if you don't get out of your half.

Tuqiri wouldnt be use to getting much ball would he? So id say for the first few games itll be aimed at him.

i dont think he'll be anywhere near as good as he was when he left. hes put on a fair bit of weight, has been playing a game where he got very little ball and wasnt allowed to do the things he did in league for like 5 (?) years now, and from what i saw of him in the last few years in union, he was nothing to write home about.

i hope he proves me wrong though, cause it would be great to see him back in his origin 2001 form.

just annoying that we missed his best years because he decided to go for the money. he was well on his way to being one of the all time great wingers when he left. now we'll never know.

Probably the biggest and potentially the scariest back 3 in the comp:

Lets call it Triple T (TTT):

1. Tuqiri
2. Tuiaki
5. Tupou

I hope he can get get into form if he comes back, it will be great having those options open for Origin if he's good enough. Shame he went to union, was absolutely wasted there.

Totally - Tuiaki is devastating, especially with Two Tries hanging around him and tuqiri causing trouble - all of a sudden the Tigers could be something - except for the fact they have Sheens and Farah

Imagine the QLD backline if he plays well

1. Slater
2. Tuqiri
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Folau
6. Lockyer
7. Thurston

The only weak links would be Slater when under pressure, Slater's passing and Hodges's lazyness.

and whether Inglis will be on parole by then

replace Lockyer with Prince. Gut tells me he wont play Origin next yr.

Still thou a killer back line

Yep replace Locyer with Prince or Cronk and that backline is scary as sh!t!

SACKED former Wallaby Lote Tuqiri has reactivated his career by signing with English rugby powerhouse Leicester on a rich short-term deal.

The one-time Wallaby star can start repairing his tarnished reputation after having his $900,000-a-year package in Australian rugby terminated mid-year for breaching team rules during Test week in Canberra.

Tuqiri, 30, will start training with his new team this week but the opportunity still exists for Tuqiri to finish the second half of the English season and hook up with an NRL club in Sydney next yea
