Queensland Rugby League has today announced the State Under 18 team to play New South Wales at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday, June 17.

The Queensland squad assembles in Melbourne next Thursday to prepare for the annual representative match.

As the curtain-raiser to Game II of the Holden State of Origin series, the interstate clash provides an exciting opportunity for some of the country’s best young talent to showcase their skills on a major stage.
Anthony Seibold returns as coach of the Queensland team, with the majority of players selected out of this year’s Mal Meninga Cup.

Joshua Fauid, younger brother of Jacob Fauid I assume?.. Good genes if that's the case, I remember watching Jacob play for Wavell many years back, he was a gun half.

Fauid makes ammends with a try right next to the posts.

Palasia ran a good line off of Fauid, turned it back inside to Cotter who fought out of the tackle and got the ball free to a determined Fauid.

Poor last tackle option by Queensland and NSW have the ball inside the Maroons territory.

Shibasaki spills a giant bomb from Lamb giving Blues another shot the Maroons line.

However Queensland tackle Lamb just short of the line and earn a penalty for double movement.

Fauid MotM.

Fair effort against one of the better NYC halves in Brock Lamb.

Thought Hipgrave and Su'a were massive and could easily see them playing the Under 20's Origin this year at Suncorp.
