The only reason I created a thread about this is because of our ridiculous competition for spots we currently have in our backline. With Maranta and Kahu seemingly well and truly on Bennett's good side and Oates proving capable of covering the position, the fact that Vidot keeps on dropping in and out of the side is because at full strength in Bennett's side, there is no room for him.

I can see the Titans or Manly coming after him purely for his hitups coming out of our end. Will/Should the club let him go or try and lure him to stay to keep competing for a spot. I honestly can't see Vidot sticking around to stay second in line.

He would certainly be handy to keep, even if he isn't a permanent fixture in the side ... when there are injuries or games where we need extra size in the backline, it would be handy to be able to keep Vidot.

Personally, if he gets an offer to be a regular first grader at another club, i suspect he'll take it.

we still have Oates to add more size to the wing or even Carlin Anderson (while i have't seen much of him, i believe he is fairly big and his stats in the ISC are certainly impressive)

He came up with the big play tonight; stop Wynnum scoring with a couple of seconds to go in the game. Made one big bust, few good off-loads, Wynnum scored two down his side and went up 10-0.

His right hammy was very heavily strapped tonight.

I was thinking of what sort of team would suit Vidot. The Titans would because their outside backs have no impact on kick returns. Manly already have a big barnstormer with suspect hands in Taufua. I think he'd be good back at the Raiders or Dragons too.

Ha. Full circle going to the dragons or raiders..

The Titans will go after him because they want to be a team of ex-Broncos.

Let him go and free up some funds. Young guys will fill the void

The truth is that Vidot has had many many more chances than others are lucky enough to receive to prove they are worthy of a consistent first grade position. Isn't just with us but with other clubs as well so it's true that could be bad luck but much more likely there are other reasons. I will say he has tried hard for us and I cannot remember a time when he played really poorly so if he wasn't costing us a lot we should try to hang on to him but not stand in his road either.

Get rid of him and give that money to Pearson.
