Everyone knows we are sturggling for forwards at the moment and I have just seen that Sam Burgess the 20yr old english prop has put himself up to come to the NRL. If the broncos are serious about wanting to go forward they need to make a big play to sign him, he's already played for great britain and he could be the next Adrian Morley. Or even better.

Also just quickly have been watching a bit of QLD cup and was looking at 2 hooker options for us. 1 would be Ian Lacey, I know we got rid of him but he still plays good footy and could be great as a backup or work off the bench with McCullough. Also Scott Smith, he is the hooker and captain for Burleigh who is a feeder club of ours and he is a great player I think he could definately make the step up. Gorrell has to go, PJ Marsh as much as I am a big fan of his I am wondering if he will ever make an impact again.

I can't agree with that at all he clearly is far too challenged in a vertical way to be considered for an NRL contract.

Only a few cm shorter than Nathan Friend and about the same height as Preston Campbell both have had successful careers. Just a thought I was thinking at least he can spark something unlike Gorrell.

Hooker shouldn't be relevant to our buying IMO. McCullough deserves his chance to prove himself as our 80 minute hooker and his first game going the duration was very solid. And I like how Ivan finallly realised that another hooker on the bench isn't the way to go.

No if we want to buy a hooker then we should of kept Ennis end of story.
We need a prop, you can never have enough props. Even if you have the best forward pack in the comps more props can't go wrong!

Matt Scott and Sam Burgess should be on the top of our list. We should try our hardest to snag atleast one of them. Both would be fantastic :D.
Joshobro I agree with you. Scott Smith is an awsome hooker in the QLD cup. Solid defensively, good leadership, good kicking game. He should definetly be looked at to replace Gorrell for next year as Gorrell is off contract.

Are you serious? Don't you remember how many tackles he used to miss. He couldn't tackle the forwards without a second man, and he defended in the middle of the ruck. Unacceptable IMO.

That said, I did like him running the ball from dummy half. Nuggety little bastard he is.
