Stealing this from LU.

Name of the game is simple: Answer the question above yours (extra points for a good justification) before asking your own question.

Let's start off with a classic comparison...

Darren Lockyer vs. Andrew Johns

Johns...

kidding, Lockyer of course. Best player I've ever seen.

Ellery Hanley or Kevin Sinfield?

Hanley. If not for Terry Lamb killing him, the Tigers would've won the title in 88.

Webcke or Civoniceva?

Ellery Hanley.

One of the most versatile and talented players of all time. Sinfield is a very good player but he never played in the elite competition, so points go to Hanley.

EDIT: Civoniceiva. Difficult to split, Webby was a bit more inspirational but Civo had the stronger rep. career and I believe was better in his peak years than Webcke. His form from 06-2010 made him the best prop in the game.

Jamie Lyon vs. Mark Gasnier

Lyon, because both are soft pussys, but Lyon can kick better...

Tuqiri or Folau?

Hodges. He's not (as much of) a softcock.

Kevin Walters or Kerrod Walters

What do you mean as much of! Hodges is a beast, Jennings is a ****.

I have no player to select because I can't remember either that well so someone else can answer that one.

Really?

Langer by the lenght of the straight, both bends and other straight!

Renouf or Sailor

Toughest one yet but I have to with Renouf~ honestly saw Sailor more and loved him more... but... as a kid, I used to think Renouf was like GOD... I just remember him being lightning quick and scoring bucketloads... definitely my favourite back as a little kid.

Fittler or Daley?

Daley. Fittler had a tendency to go missing in action. Daley never did.

Stuart or Langer

Alf just to avoid hatred, both were great players and were heavily influentuel at their clubs.

Paul "the chief" Harragon or Mark "spud" Carrol

Harragon, didn't get enough credit for his contributions to the Knights.

Greg Dowling or kevin tamati?

Temati didn't have the cat-like reflexes of good ol' Greggy.

Brent Tate vs. Willie Carne

Brent Tate vs. Willie Carne

Tough one. On skill and ability, Carne hands down. On sheer will and determination, Brent Tate.

I prefer skill and ability, so Carne by a nose and a mane of glorious hair.

Paul McGregor or Jamie Lyon

Jamie Lyon easily. McGregor was tough and much more of a man, but Lyon is seriously so under-rated IMO. His ability to set up his winger is superb and he's such a leader in the Manly side. Plus in addition to being really good he's kind enough to not put his talents to use for NSW.

Shane Webcke or Petero Civoniceva?
