Shai Hope strangled one down the leg side to bring Ambris to the crease for his maiden Test innings, but it lasted just a single ball as the 24-year-old played back to a short ball and stood on his stumps to be dismissed hit wicket.

He became the very first batsman in the history of Test cricket to be out hit wicket for a golden duck on Test debut. Ambris is also just the sixth batsman overall to be out hit wicket for a golden duck in a Test innings.
