How ridiculous are these brain dead environmentalists? Do what we want or we'll thrown futhermucking rocks at your cars - this is unbelievably embarrassing for Australia as a nation in an international event.

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/st ... 06,00.html

The WRC is one of the few truly international motor sports (along with F1) and we have some idiots more concerned about some freaking soil erosion then the safety of athletes who think it is okay to throw rocks at speeding cars

I am so shocked and appalled - NSW officially the most embarrassing part of Australia

To think they threw rocks at a Finn to boot - what dead shits, hope they get caught go to jail and have a fun time on the inside

Totally brain dead. What if the driver lost control and hit them?

Agree wholeheartedly. May one of these protestors get hit.

But lol at referring to car drivers as athletes.

You'd have to be a great athlete to drive profesionally though. I know for a fact that F1 guys are super fit.

Just because you're super fit doesn't make you an athlete.

Being a professional driver takes a great deal of concentration, coordination and bravery.

I'd classify them as athletes.

Stay on topic guys....

These nut jobs are a bunch of tools. If a kid throws a rock off an over pass and hits a car... even if it doesn't hit... thats illegal and your can get i to some serious trouble... I hope the police are going to inforce these laws on these spanners. Imagine a rally car at full tilt having a rock come flyong through the window and hitting the driver in the eye... "Oh look we stopped him by making him lose control of his car and rolling it through the bush 17 times"..... well done polesmoker.

What do you think does?

On topic, the cops should take care of these idiots.

An athlete is physically trained specifically for their sport, which involves putting their body to the test. That means no player of a sport that involves riding a machine, animal or hitting a ball a long way from a stand still can be considered an athlete.

If you want to be technical about it, an athlete is someone who competes in athletics.

But they are training their body specifically for their sport. Its not like they train the same as a 400m runner and then go sit in a car for a few hours.

WHy don't these clowns throwing rocks go invent a car that doesn't pollute or better yet a more effecient way to use solar power instead of breaking the law.

Yes but they're not doing anything themselves. They're using powered machines. Hence my initial exclusion for any sport that uses a machine, animal etc.
