10 games on the wing, 0 games in the second row.. He is at this point a NRL Winger.

I disagree, if instead of Copley and Yow Yeh getting injured it was Thaiday and Gillett, he'd have 10 games in the second row and none on the wing, you can't say he's an NRL winger because he was used as a fill-in when we literally had nobody to play that position, you should base someone's position off where he would play in the side if we were at full strength, which right now at best would be an impact second rower off the bench.

Edit: I guess what I'm getting at is.. if Copley, Kahu, Yow Yeh, Hodges are all fit, he never plays on the Wing or in the Centres again in his career.

And a damn good one too

As far as the Broncos roster is concerned, he rates up with the best wing options we have

Let's be honest, he is backrower that can very effectively play wing - at a club with lots of quality backrowers and very few quality wingers

Which makes him a winger, at least for now

At full strength of course we would have Hoffman (who also isn't a winger) on 1 wing and YY on the other

But with question marks over YY, who takes that wing if he can't?

Kahu? Copley?

Oates has the runs on the board in front of them for mine

If Copely, Yow Yeh are fit he never gets his chance anyway and isn't even an NRL player. But no amount of what if will put him in the second row.

'What If' next season with Hodges injured and Kahu likely to be injured, we have Oates playing in the backline again for another 10 games?

Kahu, defiantly would have Oates ahead of him. Injuries aside I saw very little of him that would put him ahead of Oates.

Copely, I'd put him in the same boat as Yow Yeh. He deserves a chance to see if he still has it however needs to know we have a quality player in Oates ready to take his spot if he doesn't.

Vidot.. no thanks.

We're not the type of club at the moment to turn undisciplined wasted talent into superstars, or retirees into late peakers

You're thinking of Craig Bellamy and the Storm.

When was the last time we signed a young troubled player with heaps of potential though?

About a month ago, his name was Barba.

Haha, I know I know, was just kidding.

I'm all for us signing Vidot. We were very short on genuine backs this year so it can't hurt to sign one with a lot of promise.

No one really knows. He hasn't been in trouble with the law or anything but bushman made some insinuations that he can't tell us about so everyone has gone off that he is troubled

its probably nothing sinister. but considering that he is a pretty good young player and two clubs have been happy to let him go, I suspect he might just have some attitude problems.

That's just because Bushman is bitter and twisted and gets some perverse pleasure out of baiting bronco forum members.
Hey the guy left the raiders, must have his head screwed on the right way:okey:

I have heard one rumour about what the issue was at Canberra with Vidot, but I am in the same boat as morkel re how far can you go without getting into trouble. I can provide a subtle hint, but I emphasise that this is a rumour, but bushie could probably confirm if I am on the mark. Re St George, I am not aware of any issues there (unless they are still existing with the former Raiders players at Canberra). It may be a matter of form at Saints.

It's nothing sinister. Involves his attitude and his ability to get on with team mates. Nothing like Carney, Ferguson etc.
