If that's the way they're going to pay it, nobody can ever be offside from a ball lost in a tackle again.

They have been ruling it that way for a long time.

Has to be a clean knock on.

Massive achievement by StH. It's a shame that it'll hardly be reported by the UK sporting media.
Going by what was said in the super league reddit the media there completely wrote them off at having a chance lol.

That was the cleanest knock-on I have seen in ages. It just rolls down the back of the tackler who is not playing at the ball. Please

I still cannot get over the arrogance of Australian rugby league fans and media. Yes Penrith were deserved favourites but people were acting like this was like it's up against a qld cup team. Yes rugby league is a lot smaller in England but ffs it is a country of 50 million. There are about 1 million people likely still very interested in rugby league over there. They showed in the world cup they are on the right track, in fact, I thought they were the best performing team up until the semi final. Mark my words, England will win a world cup in the next 1-3 goes. There's a lot of talent there they just lack the level of intense professional that the nrl has...

I think you are right. If some of their promising players can kick on, they should have a really good side in the future.

I think i remember reading there are about 250k players at all levels of the sport in the England, which actually surprised me, i thought it would have been less. Its just so difficult in England to take kids away from playing football and even getting numbers watching. Crowds in League are mostly on par with the 4th tier of English football. Probably doesnt help them that its basically centered around the north of England.
