Good on Latrell for identifying racism almost correctly, but then writing "don't dilute the longest living culture in the world", which is something a racist supremacist might say. 🤦‍♂️

My thoughts on the game were:
Broncos should have done no tourism there. Kevvie should have told them to be focused entirely on winning and starting strong and that he would bring them all back for a proper visit at end of season.
The field was too thin for our sweep plays and Roosters were the only team working the ball straight up the middle. This was a coaching error and poor captaincy.
Piakura didn't look concussed to me, but they pulled him. We shouldn't have shifted Patty to fill that gap, because the middle was the problem and sliding defense was super easy on that thin field. Dumb decision.

We need to be dangerous everywhere, not just speedy working the outside. Forwards need to be willing to work the middle and get quick PTBs. That is the game now. Speed. It's touch footy with heavy contact.
I disagree .
They started preseason later than non finalists . Then the rep players got a longer rest again . Bit like the Cow boys last season . Not as fit or as drilled as teams who missed finals .

OK Dr Organix how long have you had your degree?
And when did diagnosing concussion via TV screens become a thing ?

isnt that all the NRL independent doctors are seeing tv screens in the bunker?

I think the operative word is Doctors .
You have to do a 5 year degree to get that title .

Initially, I think if you stay down or can`t walk straight they can and will say you must go off for further assesment . Dunno about once they get to the dressing rooms . Staying down or not walking straight can be judged by video by a minimum 5 year trained proffessional .

But I guess they could be assessed by video link in the dressing rooms .I doubt it though . That`s when they get ruled out , after going to the sheds . I am assuming by a club doctor .

That is a question for 1 1910 ,

An independent doctor can rule a player out of the match if they display more severe Category 1 HIA signs, which include:

  • Lying motionless for more than five seconds
  • Motor incoordination - balance disturbance
  • Impact seizure
  • Tonic posturing
  • Lack of protective action in falling to the ground- floppy
  • Blank/vacant look
  • Behavioural change

That makes sense from the bunker all pretty observable CAT 2 are from club doctors apparently

Club doctors have the final say on Category 2 HIAs, which are determined if a player displays the following signs:

  • Lying motionless for two to five seconds
  • Possible impact seizure
  • Possible tonic posturing
  • Possible motor incoordination
  • Slow to stand (15 seconds)
  • Suspected facial fracture
Not to fussed with the piakura decision its the first game in a long season

Slothfield the old drunk is now running with the crap starting on the roosters forum claiming that Leniu only called him a monkey because he was retaliating to a slur against him but he won’t say that because people from Mt Druit don’t snitch. Gives no evidence for this claim but apparently it is all good to slander with no proof these days. Seems really weird that Mam would lodge the complaint knowing Leniu could just out him for his apparent slur.

I've never seen the word "alleged" so obviously used. 1 week later, after he gets hammered with no reaction or evidence, no direct quotes. What a fucking snake oil salesmen this "alleged" drunk is. And guess what, the anti-anti racism crew are lapping it up hahajahaja roosters fans are all of a sudden against racist remarks.

Rothfield probably looks in the mirror at night saying to himself with drunken tears in eyes "you're allegedly a reporter, who allegedly is good at his job. No direct quotes or evidence needed!"

With already an mcl strain coming into the game as well. Right decision was made to not put him back on unless it was obviously a poor decision by the independent doctor to take him off. Which it wasn’t.

Convenient timing on this by Slothfield.

I don't mind Rothfield putting it out there, if it came out on Tuesday at the hearing and he says I heard that rumour but didn't publish it then he looks ridiculous, and I imagine News would be saying let's chat.

I don't think it happened, but it makes the "Fun and games" comment look more in context. I never got the relaxed nature of Spencer after the game.

It's a limp-wristed attempt at a defence. If you're going to accuse a Broncos player of racial abuse then you better make a compelling case or keep it to yourself. They started it is something a five year old comes up with after they've been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

I don't disagree with you but they are not about the higher ground they're about being first. All it was was getting it down so he can maybe say I said that on Sunday.

The Broncos declined to comment on the alleged slur by a Brisbane player, but this masthead can reveal:

• The Broncos conducted internal inquiries following reports a Brisbane player made an offensive remark to Leniu and were satisfied no further action was required.
