Team lists have been inserted.

Kicking us off, we have the Sydney Roosters. Angus Crichton, Sitili Tupouniua and Paul Momirovski have returned while Sam Walker has been left off. My mind instantly goes back to 2017 when the Roosters dropped Latrell Mitchell and Joey Manu at various points in the season. Obviously in those cases it worked out and by 2018-19 both played a role in their respective premiership wins. However it does seem strange because Walker wasn't necessarily playing bad.

Walker was quiet against the Sharks but I would have stuck with him knowing that Crichton and Tupouniua would make his life easier. Again, I'd imagine it'll be a short term adjustment and an opportunity for Walker and the team to find some confidence but the timing of it all seems odd.

I'm excited to see how Jahream Bula performs. If the Tigers are going wind back the clock, it's going to be through emerging talent and slowly building those combinations. I've been interested in the Tigers 03 lately and how they were able to get themselves in the race for a premiership in 05. While they made a few astute purchases like Brett Hodgson, Scott Prince, Paul Whatuira, Todd Payten etc. they were planting seeds in 03. They didn't just throw them all into the deep end but players like Dene Halatau, Robbie Farah, Chris Heighington and Benji Marshall all got a taste and were eased into the team.

The only thing they're missing is the backbone that made the team successful. The Tigers largely struggled in 2003 but they pulled off a few upsets off the back of playing a grindy brand of football. If they can make it a point to make their opposition uncomfortable the points should flow.

that seems a weird bench for the Tigpies.

a fullback and an outside back on the bench is awfully light. their forwards will need to be extremely fit, because the is SFA on that bench to give them a break.

and of course Staines lasted a whole 2 games at fullback before Sheens changed his mind again ... what's the over/under on Bula lasting back there

the other question I have is, is Ciraldo changing the numbers on his halves backs going to change how they play

Maybe they have a different five-eighth in mind and didn't want all the media attention to be on them?

I've tipped the Eels.
(But to put that in context, so far I've only tipped 29 of 72 correctly)
