Well, you do have to admit that 'revert' seems somewhat naked when 'back' isn't the following word!

I too welcome new members and say 'give us your best'.

Well yes, when you consider that in the last decade ‘YOLO’, ‘LOL’, ‘OMG’ and ‘freegan’ (to name but a few) were recognised as official words; ‘revert back’ hardly seems the crime of the century against the English language.

Oh , agreed. Not a major offence. It's just dumb. It just highlights how little effort some put in to communication. I do believe that poor skills does not necessarily indicate reduced intelligence but if I had a thousand poorly written job applications and a thousand well written of the same I'd wager I'd get better candidates from the latter group.

Maybe some people write perfect formal English when required such as a job application, and revert back to a more casual approach in circumstances such as footy forums.

As you practice, so you perform. Besides, I cited a thousand poorly written job applications. Also, I'd hardly describe correct English as formal.

Nonetheless, welcome @Alex Wingnut. Huge is a stickler for proper grammar and (I believe at least) loves being the self-appointed BHQ grammar moderator, wearing it as a badge of honour.

Well the Roar game at Dolphin Stadium has been postponed for this weekend, let's hope this new strain doesn't get a grip otherwise we are in for another season of not being able to spectate at stadiums :(

Well, as Nashy and Lynx know, amongst quite a few others it's both a description and my real name. Or so close to it it's not funny. Huge by name Huge by description.
