Man, this clip gave me chills. It’s pure gold. One good happy team & dressing room especially, the possessed beast a.k.a Payne Haas.

Our marketing team has come leaps and bounds. 👏.
This is the effect kevy has had. To turn the club from where it was once a few years ago into a team that can win dirty is amazing. Not once this year have we looked out of a contest. If you look at what is going on at the bulldogs, tigers, dragons etc. They just can't find a coach to turn it around. Kevy has done that in the space of a few years. It's incredible.

His credentials as a coach have improved dramatically and we are lucky to have him.

All that granted, I think a lot of us are looking towards the finals and thinking we can't expect to arse it through the way we've been playing recently. There's some growing concern about Adam Reynolds not being the captain/playmaker we know he can be. The formula is pretty simple: when Reynolds is on fire, the Broncos are on fire. He hasn't been on fire.

Just a year or two ago, this is the type of game we would have lost by 30+.
The fact we have come this far, this quick is a credit to the team. How many people actually expected us to be in the position we are in now at the start of the season?

We are already close to easily exceeding most expectations for this season, but because we aren't winning comfortably by 30 each week it's not good enough.

Anybody would think we are in the position the Tigers and Bulldogs are in this week judging by some of the meltdowns week to week.

Reynolds hasn't been at his best sure, but he also hasn't had the regular team around him over the last month or so. Origin is more disruptive to the Broncos this year than it has been in a while, and yet we're still winning. We are also blooding some kids, who have been performing well - and are coming into the squad and winning difficult games. Stark contrast to a few years ago.

I am 100% sure that Kev, Arey and the whole squad is acutely aware of what happened towards the end of last season and would have learned some difficult lessons which will help us avoid this happening again this season.

I am reserving my judgement until after Origin is done and dusted and we get a regular line-up week in week out.

We were flying high this time last season, and then the losses stockpiled. We lost last round to who we saw as a weak opponent, and only scraped though this round to another weak opponent. I don't think anyone's panicking just yet, but we're right to be on edge.

This.

Are we looking better than recent history? Yes.
Are there also worrying similarities between last seasons collapse and our form going into the back end of this season? Yes.

Both can be true.
Meltdowns Imo are perfectly understandable after the recent years where we saw the worst side of Broncos the club has ever had.

Hopefully we keep improving.

I kind of agree, it would be stupid to not be on edge. Last year we were pretty similar in for/against before we fell away massively. I guess the only difference is this year we have never really looked completely out of the contest. Maybe against the Rabbits but even then this was a game that came from Jock madden letting 4 tries in. I can remember several games last year that we had been belted by this time of year (40 points conceded). I think we had a 4 game losing streak at some point early in the season as well which is not something I have seen this year. Have we even lost back to back games? probably once and they were pretty close contests without Arey.

Ultimately I can see where Kevy dismisses the suggestion that last year will repeat. We are a pretty different football team this year in that we seem to turn up more consistently and the thrashings have stopped. (touch wood)

I am fully on my seat.

You guys, just, like, push back with your legs and you'll be fine.

I'd like to see us really trounce the Bulldogs. Put 40+ on them.

Our losses:
Rabbits - Comprehensively beaten but Madden isn’t a first team regular and he let in most of the tries

Storm - A ref performance so bad it has to be officially acknowledged and the ref dropped, plus we never beat Melbourne but getting smashed by a ref and one player down for over a quarter of the contest, it is what it is AND we still potentially could have run over them late

Canberra - A 50/50 call resulted in a loss but we were in it despite playing poorly

Penrith - We were outplayed but still were well in it and again, a 50/50 call on Turuva’s try going the other way and it is a different story

Titans - Should have and could have won this if not for a VERY iffy obstruction call and/or Walsh passing one second earlier

This is a good season, you never feel we are out of any game at all no matter what is thrown at us / goes against us

I think the team is measuring the effort to an extent and I’m fine with that, they can’t red line a whole season yet but I suspect post origin / third bye, we’ll see this team go up a gear or three and that is the time you want to be making your run

Yeah I'd like to see us put 40 on every team but we will see. Depends who turns up. The dolphins this week were far better than the week before. Might be same for the bulldogs.
