Oates will only ever be on the left though to be fair, but mariner **** he fast, has to be top dog in speed for the team.

that tackle he did in the second half on Johnston after he over ran the tackle caught him up and got him proved it the most he was lightning fast.

Not only is he fast in general but his speed off the mark is crazy. It’s like he is at top speed in a millisecond.
 
Realistically we should have put at least 50 on them, just kept making simple errors that we mostly weren't making by the end of last year.

Hopefully we can build on this win by playing a bit calmer and focusing more on our ball and defence.

to be fair though it's hard to take too much given if Oates was in the game it wouldn't go the same way given his differing playstyle.

elements before and after would change because of it.

I'm still very pro Arthars, even though Mariner had a great game and showed his skill he is behind Arthars for me at this point, Arthars in my view is one of the most secure outside backs under pressure in the entire game.

Given it's naturally a very high error position that holds status for me.

and at least 2 try saves with his ability to turn and chase....love Gary but seriously bar injury our current wingers are the right selections

Herbie was great for us. We were great for Herbie but in the evolution of the team something had to give. Good riddance us harsh and tongue in cheek I hope. But I for one am happy with the centres we have now and Mariner learning his trade on the sting continuing to push Staggs and Cobbo to greater heights. Our wingers do seem to be scoring more tries so far this year though.....
