My only concern with Maguire is player burnout and his predictable style of play.

It's no secret he was responsible for the downfall at the Rabbitohs. He overworked the players and the gameplan was too simple, too structured. It worked in 2014 when the Rabbitohs were at their peak, but over time it gradually became worse and teams were able to shut them down too easily.

If he has learned that lesson and won't do the same here, then I would be more than happy to have him. He is a great coach that brings success. It's whether he can maintain that success.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of Maguire. If he has learnt from his mistakes of player burnout he is a quality coach.

He's not a coach I would immediately write off as shit, whether he'll be good fit only time will tell. I think he could be an excellent coach and in a way I'm excited to finally have a coach who has not been in the Broncos system. Sometimes a fresh face is the best way to move forward.
