So nikorima current form in your opinion is due to the fact that another player got a position over him and he cracked the sads. Sounds like the kind of attitude you need to play first grade...
It worked for Hoffman

Alex Glenn should have scored on that one
It was a perfectly weighted pass from Barba. I was not happy with Glenn at that play when I saw the footage of it

Fair bit of credit to the Bulldogs defence, the 3 players got into very good (lucky) position to keep him from planting the ball.

9 times out of 10 with the exact same play and ball carrier momentum it would be a try.

I think Barba should have passed it to Reed.

If he had, Reed would have had an unmarked Vidot on his left. That close to the try line, the speed and the strength of the guy..he would have been extremely difficult to stop. Bulldogs flank defense is quite average.

i think barba made hte right pass. the defender was going to reed, and the pass put glenn in the hole. if the ball went to reed the defender probably would of forced a tip on pass from reed. glenn really should of put in a bigger left foot step and got inside the defender that came across and got him front on. you really shouldnt be a mobile second rower and get stopped from that far out.

If Reed got the ball he'd step inside and go down with the ball.

Absolutely right choice and perfect ball from Barba on the second video, and even if he could've sent a cut-out pass in the first video, that choice to pass to a centre coming in at full pelt, wasn't bad either.

SF - You'll find the 3rd bombed try at the 59th minute and it's the worst of the lot.

It really speaks volumes that none of you are confident enough to put your stakes behind one player.

That isn't good enough to play first grade. You've got to earn it.

How about McCullough? We can shift him into the halves which would then give Granville an opportunity.

I'm tired of arguing, I just hope the situation will be resolved ASAP, because this is just embarrassing for the Broncos and the sport in general.

Why do you keep saying that. I dont see how using what is deemed by much better judges than us as the best option is an embarassment to the NRL and the broncos

Playing a winger in the halves, you might as well call yourself Parramatta.

In some ways, I wonder if Reed's lack of form has at least something to do with our 5/8 and what opportunities he gets.

I doubt it. I think Reed has been quiet for a few seasons now. I know injuries have played a big part but we've also had multiple halves combinations in that time.

It's something that bothers me a lot. It seems like there's double standards at the Broncos. Some players are automatic selections regardless of form. IMO, Reed, Hannant etc needed at least one week in the QC over the last few years if only to send a message that they don't have a mortgage on the position and they need to work hard.

I was excited over the off season with the flurry of signings as it would give us some depth and create some competition for spots. I should've checked the fine print as it's becoming apparent they will only be used to cover injuries and not poor form.

It's even worse, Maranta was dumped this week and he's been playing alright. I don't understand at all how a winning culture can be built on that.

And if Griffin and Gee did end up with Hoffman somehow being the best option, they clearly are more incompetent than even the biggest haters originally thought.

Barba, Vidot, Kennedy and Lowrie have all been in the side since round 1. Which signings do you think are not getting a go? Mills? He was given many opportunities to shine during the trials. The new signings have created depth and are being used.

Maranta was not exactly dumped, he was only filling in until Hodges was fit and is exactly the depth and competition for spots you are arguing for.

I can see that there is an argument to drop Reed for Maranta and if Reed stinks it up for another 2 or 3 weeks then I will be on board with him being dropped but lets be realistic, Maranta had a good round 1 and has been safe since, he still doesnt show enough in attack to be auto selected on the wing imo.

Head in the sand stuff.

For such a terrible player who was written off before a ball was even kicked he sure has come up with a number of handy plays this season...

Yeah, "handy" plays, like when he keeps his hands on the ball instead of letting it go to another teammate. Or when he's putting hands on attackers thinking he's playing touch footy, and they palm him off like he's a garden gnome. Stuff like that. I'd call him the worst half in the competition, but he's not even remotely close to being a half. This is taking us back to the times where teams were happy playing centres in the halves, except those centres actually did have some skill. It's offensive to a sport that should be about creativity.
